Dear LotC,

I love you all :)

So who am I? I’ve actually been your Developer Team Leader for a while (not to be confused with Lead Developer, RIP Native). You may know me from great hits such as the NexusNoMagic Plugin and the Profession Plugin. I’ve also been a lorewriter for the Elven Language and the High Elves.

This server had many great staff members and I’m glad to have been among them, but I’ve done all I came here to do and learned all I’ve come here to learn. I put a lot of my love into this server, and I hope you’ve enjoyed my contributions despite some of the frustrations you might’ve had. Coding for LotC was a taxing experience but it definitely got me some cool life lessons.

Anyway don't have a Kow man and please call it “Sporadic’s Skill Plugin” when you’re bitching to the next techs how it used to be so much better.

Oh right I'm leaving in case it wasn't clear :D

Cheers,
Tweek

This will be the last time I greet you friends (<3 to you all),

Letting go can sometimes be the most difficult aspect of our lives, this comes especially with projects you’ve poured your life into to sustain and help prosper. I may at some point have become the longest standing Developer or Technician for Lord of the Craft we’ve ever had, and that makes this final act so much more difficult. We’ve been through hard times and cakewalks, we’ve seen the staff teams shift through several generations and groups of people, been through server updates, major and minor crashes, Nexus updates, policy updates, ideological shifts and ultimately we’ve evolved to be a completely separate server from the time of my initial stepping up. All in just four years, it’s crazy how much goes on.

The time you’d expect it takes to manage these things, whether or not you have a team to work beside or have to trudge through alone, is colossal. It is admittedly not a rewarding job, it requires more perseverance, tough skin, and personal motivation to receive in the end, not a lot quite frankly. For these years I’ve been content to say I drew my motivation through the thanks I received from the community and the experience I’ve gained through programming–but it’s just not true. I love developing as much as I love programming, I am a total nerd when it comes to trying new things and innovating, I enjoy studying different games and applications of varied ideas and theories and learning from the results.

I am at a time in my life when I have to make these kinds of definitive decisions, I hope that some of you will never have to understand the feeling I get and the thoughts I have about the things I could have done with the time I drained down the sink. I have been able to befriend some of the best people I know on Lord of the Craft, I’ve went from 0 to what I know now in Java, I’ve learned management and moderation, it has been one of the best experiences I know. But I feel now there is nothing left for me to give, and certainly nothing that makes it worth me giving up my future to stay.

There are works that I have brought from non-existence to full fruition, I’ve made my own fair share of flops, I’ve had a few unfinished projects here and there and ideas that never came into full bloom. But I also feel that I have devoted my share of time to this project we know as Lord of the Craft. I need to move on with my life, I’ve got a business to run and a fledgling community around my apps, so for both mine and your sake I have to make this decision. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

I hereby resign from all of my positions on Lord of the Craft and withdraw my official support in all projects involved including development.

Sincerely,

Telanir

Dearest Lord Telanir and Great Sporadic,

I shall truly miss you two, especially my great lord Telanir who has guided me through the deepest of hell fires. If it were not for you two's great minds and coding prowess, this server would be nothing but a vanilla minecraft server! I thank you dearly from the lovingness of my heart. FOREVER shall you be remembered, for I have etched thy great names in stone and blood! Never shall we forget your great deeds you have done upon this once great RP server that has degraded to but a factions PvP server.

We shall always keep in touch my dearest friends, and I shall always support whatever it is you two do, for I am a tech minion! I may not have the knowledge on how coding works and such, but I SHALL FOREVER BE A MINION OF THE GREAT TELANIR! BLESSED BE HIS NAME!

ALLAHU AKBAR! NEVER FORGET THE GREAT TECHS OF LOTC!

I love you guys, I now hold not a shred of hope for LoTC with your departure ;-;
