You directly say 'patting themselves on the back,' right? I agree with you to an extent, goodbye posts kinda feel cheap and cheesy, but both you and me have left enough times that we know how weird it feels to leave without a word when you spend so much time on the server, right? And I don't think Tape's main post was too 'whatever the word is for people who pat themselves on the back', even. But maybe it was.

 

Listen, I really don't want a warn, so hopefully everyone knows this is off-topic so starting friendly arguments this sort of thing is OK, right? If not, FM just delete my posts or PM me or something, I really don't want to get banned again.

 

EDIT - And, I actually do like Gaius, and don't think he doesn't like me. I think we are friendly adversaries; He says popular opinions, I have to be a hipster and try to rebuke what he says. Usually failing to do it coherently. I think his assessment of me as a 'barnacle' is pretty accurate.
