House History

House Cástamara is a fairly new House, formed by Giovanni de Valois, who left his home to become a wandering preacher, a voice of God in the roads. He met a woman called Vanesa and married her, fathering children. His culture, the Auveregnian, merged with the culture of his wife, forming an amalgam of art, and creativity of Vanesa, and the nobility, and devotion of Giovanni. Giovanni’s children were three, three men, Horacio, Fernando and Alejandro. Horacio married Vanesa’s cousin-in-law Silvia de Viñedos, and fathered three children; Santiago, Guillermo and Isabela. They moved to an island east of Montfort, they called it Rosario, where they built gardens and houses where only inspiration could seep from.. However, it did not last long, as just as Guillermo turned twenty seven, the Island began to crumble and flood. The family was forced to move out of the Island, however, Horacio and Silvia were lost in the crumbling of the main Estate, and only the three children, Alejandro and Fernando could be saved. They found shelter in the City of Siegrad, as they began to communicate with House de Bar, whom they had serviced for years as Tailors, to obtain land where to start anew as a truly Atheran house.

House Culture; The Rosarians

The Rosario culture is rich in it’s Art and Creativity. Rooting from the Auveregnian culture, it draws from the devout ideology of Giovanni, moving to base it’s art as a whole in dedication of God. The Lifestyle of a Rosario is that of comfort and devotion. However, their creativity spreads to all aspects of their lives, including the art of war craft.

Rosarians are usually recognized by their pillar structures, with structures made of brick plastered with clay, and roofs usually in the crimson pallete.

The Rosarian have created their own language, created to have a more full rhythm than Auveregnian. This language reflects and represents the poetic side of the Rosarians, and is used mostly inside the family, usually speaking in Common when referring to outsiders.

Excerpt of words in Rosalon, the language of the Rosarian;

Rosario (Singl.) Pl. Rosarian) = "Zealous, One who bears religion."

Sálucienas = Salutations / Hail

Nocios = Goodbye / Farewell

Well...Maybe you should change the name to something more original? The Trastamara's were kind of a big deal.

Feedback noted. After deliberating, I've changed the name to something more original, and perhaps even more fitting.

{{The Illatian culture had strong Spaniard influences, yet the house is created from an Auverginian origin? Although it is an interesting and proper idea, I think it would make more sense if the house originates from a similar culture, than the opposite one?}}

Valois presented similar values to spanish culture at the time I was aiming at. Renaissance Spain was similar to Italy and France, where the Valois draw their inspiration.
