An Elderly Jude of Cyriaum lay motionless in his bed. His grayish hair was neatly groomed and his face had a small goatee with many small little grey hairs in it. In his hands, which were folded neatly, was a piece of parchment, a final thesis. The life in Jude’s body was fading quickly and he could feel it. He had hidden his thesis’ all around the realm, in hopes that in many years people will stumble upon his work and donate them to the church archives where many of his writings and manuscripts already rest. These thesis’ however were his best and many of which may never be found. He slowly opened his eyes as a young Deacon entered the room and set a glass of water onto his dresser. The life inside of Jude slowly began to fade away, his soul, mind, heart, and thesis’ left with him. On the parchment it read…..

A Thesis on Death and Dying

Death, the unavoidable destiny of every mortal being. The future that every man, woman, child, and animal cannot hide from. Many fear it, many embrace it, many study it and all know of it. Many ask themselves and I have been asked this question to me; what happens after death? Where do we go? Will the Creator save us or are we all damned to an eternity of suffering? Well, in this thesis, I am here to answer all of these questions. First off, the most commonly asked question, what happens after death? Well, the Canon teaches us that after death we are to live a life with the Creator for all eternity. Also, It does not make any sense for the Creator, who created us out of love, to damn us to an eternity of darkness and pain. He created every being in order for us to love him and to embrace his love for us. We are meant to live with him for all of eternity after we are done serving our purpose in this life. Now, this does include sinners as well. God is a just being and loves all of his creation, even those brothers and sisters of humanity that do not agree or love him like those of the Canon do. These people can be redeemed, I believe this because God created and knows every one of us, and even though we may not know him as well as he knows and loves us all the same. We are all children under him and even those who chose freely not to follow him, still have a chance at redemption and eternal salvation. However, if one denies the chance to live with the creator for all eternity, then they are doomed to a life of pain and suffering, as well as the knowledge that they are separated from God. The second most commonly asked questions is “Where do we go after death”. The simple answer is to the Creator, although we leave our worldly bodies behind, our souls go on to live forever with him. Those that chose to not follow and love him go into a state of nothingness. Their soul is completely separated from is love and they are unable to experience salvation. The third question is “Will the Creator save us or are we all damned to an eternity of suffering.” I will answer this as simply as possible. Why would God create us out of love in the first place if he wanted to throw us all into eternal suffering? God loves us so much that he gives us a secular and eternal life. He gives us freedom in both states of being, the freedom to choose love over hate, good over evil. He wants us to be with him forever and to share in his divine salvation. Now, in conclusion, I want you to ask yourself, am I openly willing to love God? Do I truly love him or am I just with him because I am afraid of what is yet to come. Go forth and spread God’s word, for he is the light, which will save this world from the domain of evil. I write this as my final thesis, my health is slipping and by the time this will get to you, I will most likely be gone from this world and have moved on to the next with all our brothers and sisters who came before us. Thank you all for being so kind to me and God Bless.”

Abbot Jude of Cyriaum

The parchment lay in his cold hands waiting to be found by the other members of the clergy. Jude has left this world in hopes that he was able to touch the lives of many, he was able to convert so many through his works and hopes that more will follow due to his manuscripts.

OOC: Remember this is what Jude believes, not what the Church teaches, he was compassionate for everyone, even those who kick and spit on him. He loves all and keeps an open heart. So please on banter on this saying oocly "Oh you are totally wrong" because I knew what I was doing and I am well educated on what the Canon teaches.

The High Pontiff reads the thesis. He marks the Lorraine on his brow, muttering a faint "God Bless."
