Recommended Posts

These parchments have been laid out all across town for all Citizens to see;

  • The casting of any voidal magic in public within the borders of Laureh'lin is illegal under any context except for immediate self defense in a life or death scenario. Exceptions may be handed out by the Provincial Governor, or Keepers of the Ahviran.
  • All individuals with the ability to cast voidal magic must report to Laureh'lin Guidemaster and report the magic(s) to be documented. The ability level and number of magics the mage is capable of must be presented in a clear and accurate manner.
  • The governor of Laureh'lin has the right to deny a mage's registration, restricting the mage from casting any magic at all, at his own discretion. He also bares the power to enable a mage to cast publicly under special circumstances, on a case by case basis.
  • No mage may teach the voidal arts to another individual until given a special permit by the governor.

Laethis narrows his gaze as he reads over the new laws. "And the wood elves were doing so well..."

"I'm not signing ****." Nienna states, indignantly. "Artimec can take his laws, and shove it where the sun doesn't shine."

"I don't want to start a battle with the law with you of all people, Nienna." Art says through a tired, sad gaze. "But I won't let you be an exception. I plead you just comply, if not, it won't end well for either of us."

"I don't want to start a battle with the law with you of all people, Nienna." Art says through a tired, sad gaze. "But I won't let you be an exception. I plead you just comply, if not, it won't end well for either of us."

Nienna sees Art appear.

"No Art, you've betrayed my trust for the last time. I've spent nearly seventy years preforming magic to save your life time and again, but at last you have shown just how ungrateful you are to me, and the art-form I have dedicated my life to learning. If this is all I am to you, then I shall not tolerate another day of it. You are dead to me, Akkaris."

Nienna's eyes would glow, and she would to disappear in a cloud of smoke.

"I hope I never meet you again, you ungrateful swine, and if I do, all I will see is an enemy."

"Goodbye."

"My, my...And most likely more to come of that..."
Kolohe would comment from a nearby park bench, watching the scene between Nienna and Art unfold.

"Oh... That's interesting. You know... I don't feel safe with all these swords around either. You should ban warriors from using weapons as well... Oh yes! Blacksmiths have hammers, don't they? Ban that as well. Hrm... Artisans use chisels and the like. That seems dangerous! Ban that too! I like these ideas!" Daniel seems to rant in a joking, if not slightly satirical, manner.

Ryn reads the new law, slowly shaking her head. "Why doesn't he just cut off his fawking ears and go live in Oren, instead of forcing this bull onto people?"

"I did that once. Survived the streets of kingston with hidden ears and martial law. Two out of ten, would not recommend." Says Artimec, shaking his head faintly at the bad memory.

More official parchments are spread throughout the city.

"This edict has been modified to include the cost of registration. 100 minas to obtain a registration to be allowed to cast magic in private, and 300 minas should the Governor specially approve you to cast in public."
