A parchment is nailed upon on the Brelus notice board, detailing the following...

 

 

Despite the recent hostilities between Vladov and de Sola and attack on a member of House Chivay, a house independent of the conflict and just in it’s recent administration. Let it be known, no matter the man, slaying of innocent nobles will not be tolerated in the realm of Adria.

 

Ostromir Vladov, claiming to be the “Black Bear” assaulted Hadrian Chivay. In response to this the Adrian government demands a trial, it will consist of a Kaedrini representative, if the “Black Bear” flees or fights, he will be immediately banished from the realm. By peacefully turning himself in, he will be shown a just trial.

Baron Titus knew what this meant.  His Kaedreni kin to the east had been assaulted and nearly destroyed by agents of Vladov with less justification than that of the bloodshed at Wett Castle, and thus, he felt, might grow more affectionate to his camp.

 

In his chambers, with a shaking, callused swordhand he dipped a quill into an ink pot.

Ostromir lets out an easy sigh as he reads the order, his eyes falling low for a few moments before he rises. His head would snap to the nearby guard, calling out to him.

"Have a copy of this delivered to Ser Octavian Horen, inform him it is from me."

And with his last words he would go to lay his sword belt down in his tower, moving thereafter to exit Castle Barrowyk. He would later be spotted as he strides into Brelus, offering himself up to be detained for the trial.

"However false these accusations are, if my lord or liege calls for my wrists in chains for whispers of other men, it will matter for naught. The Bear will bow."
