Love Till Death.

It all started with a letter. A single tear stained letter. He sat in his room, locked away from the world around him as he clenched the orb in his hand. He had loved Ryn, once. Long ago he had loved her. But she had hurt him, time and time again. He felt he could continue through the pain, till she faked her death. Then he had re-met her. The girl that had stolen his heart back in Kal’Arkon. A tavern wench hidden by a mask. Her golden hair and mysterious personality made his heart fall for her. He looked over the letter as he gripped the orb, a glass eye he had given her, to allow her a chance at some normalcy. She was engaged, soon married.

Mikazuki Mantisuku. Well, Mikazuki Bloodseeker. She had come to console him and help him through the loss of his wife Ryn. Getting close and keeping him company. It was then that he soon found that Ryn was still alive, using a false name under the promise that Primrose had made. Primrose, the person who started the domino effect. “Mika…” he murmured gripping the note and orb. He stood abruptly and strided out of his room, passing the few who even realized he was still alive. She was not going alone, not this time.

Deep in wilds of Athera, he found her. The maiden with golden hair. Her scarred face turned towards him weakly. She had tried many times to give him up. She told Ryn she would step aside despite her feelings. But Baden would not have it. He took her hand and kissed her deeply, knowing her state, her feelings, her tears. Yes, it was all her fault that he loved her. She was his soul mate. She knew what he was thinking, feeling.

As Baden pulled away from their kiss, he looked into her eye. The color gone from her face and her hands at her side. Burying his face into her still form he sat down, holding her close. The poison that had tainted the lips of his love, coursing down his own throat. Darkness soon consumed the two as night fell. As the next day arrived and news of his departure reached Ryn’s ears, he was gone. Baden Powell was no more. He left the realm with the woman he loved.

Meta would remain in deep meditation, the news of the lovers departure reaching him eventually. "If only all elven love was as such, perhaps our kind would benefit most greatly."

Ramza hears news of his daughter and her lover's death, he sighs deeply. "Tell..your mother..I said I was sorry..I couldn't keep all our promise..." he looks over from the beach view, giving news to the rest of the family. He remains in silence for a while to hold in the lost of his second daughter.

Kathryn looked up to the twilight sky standing at the docks ready to leave with her siblings Serenity, Haderin, Amber, Arthur and Riia. She held the note firmly in her hand as she stood next to her aunt Cat. I'm sorry mom...but its your fault.. She thought to herself.

"Cat. I'll be back." She said before turning toward the grove the letter still clenched firmly in her hand. She got there and stood by Ryn's home. She took a deep breath before putting the letter on her doorstep.

Mother,

Goodbye, I hope you have a nice life.

I'm leaving Athera. Taking the kids with me. Cat said she will stay.

It's all your fault father died! If he hadn't met you he Mika would still be alive!

Kathryn Powell.

Kathryn fell to her knees on the doorstep. She couldn't stop the tears that poured down her cheeks.

I love you Daddy...I miss you already... She thought as she sat there crying.

Ryn sits in her room in the Grove, staring at the notes left to her. The shock of the situation all too real... Her husband was gone. She had long suspected he was still seeing Mika... I guess this proved it after all. His death washed over her and tears fell hot from her eyes. Kathryn was gone, her namesake. She had been so close to her... now she was gone with most of kids. Why she had taken them, she didn't know. She never would know probably. More tears fell from her eyes as she stood up from the bed and went to the other room. Riley, Tilly, Zekky, and Raina were all asleep. She didn't have the heart to tell them tonight. It would be done in the morning.

Zhyria looked up at her mother from her chair and sighed silently, signing, "It's going to be ok, mom."

Ryn slowly shook her head, speaking slowly and softly so as to not wake the kids. "No, Zhy... It will never be ok again." She looks away from her daughter, remembering the conversation she had had with Baden many years ago.

He had stood up from where he was sitting. The conversation had been intense as they spoke.  "...I WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU!" He says as he clenches his teeth as tears drip down his face.

Ryn had sat there, staring at him for a moment before her gaze had fallen to the floor as she hugged her knees. "Until. You. Aren't."

He had walked over to her, hugged her tightly. "Which. Will. Be. Never." He had said...

Fresh, hot tears rolled down Ryn's present day cheeks. Her heart was broken. He broke his promise... "Until. You. Aren't." She says softly, going to find a bottle of whiskey as her daughter watches he die inside.

Hidden away, Lizzy cries silently, clinging to Lionna. "I never thought..." She starts to say, before her sobs overwhelm her.

The sadness is felt throughout the druidic grove.

Through the gossip from Aesculian druids, did those sorrowing news spread over the small refugee group. And while struck with many other sorrows, many other difficulties, in the civil turmoil of a mess crownlands became, with their governor's approval and their lord's blessing, elves, humans and other Descendant creatures of their lot took up a small prayer for the tragedy which filled the Grove, and the lands of Vailor, with much sadness.

((Stay safe, bb. Have fun, regardless of whatchu do. And don't let *bleep*wits bring you down again.))

Serenity picks up young Amber and sighs. She holds the sleeping toddler in her lap as she sits at the dock. Her parents gone. She promised she would take care of Amber for them. Her wheelchair resting against the post as she wiped a tear. "Mother tried to keep distant from him." she reminded herself. "She tried." She sighs softly as she pets her sister's sleeping head. "Its all Ryn's fault. If she didnt call mother a homewrecker. If she tried to be nicer...." She lowered her head. "If she just allowed...." She looked towards Kathryn. "Kathy?" she asks. "Is it alright if we get a mental mage to....wipe Amber's memories? I don't want to tell her,"

Vivianne listens quietly from outside the tavern, hidden behind a small bush, her eyes look down, and her expression becomes one of sorrow. She knew not the two who had chosen this beautiful departure, but she knew their names, and she knew very well the one who would be most effected. The glowing blue lights that silently pulse from her hair and skin, shifted to a dull gray. She sighed,

As she was wondering if she should pay her friend a visit, a fight broke out in the tavern and startled her, and she dashed back into the deep forest.
