Al-Wakhrah Census

 Share

Recommended Posts

Word presses about towards all citizens of Al-Wakhrah, the Capital city of Khalestine. Posters hang around streets and billboards, all reading the same thing . . .

"All Citizens of Al-Wakhrah, including landholders of land within Khalestine that are not apart of any Ziemate, are all required to fill out a general census within the Munavin's(stewards) office. The Munavins Office is located within the Caliph's palace, second floor in the east side. It is asked that household owners ONLY are to fill out the census, which is required to include ALL PERMANENT household inhabitants (Family members, permanent house guests and friends, etc.) Those within the Ziemate of Sutica and the Village of the Kharajyr, as well as future Ziemate's are asked to not participate in this census unless you hold ownership of a home within the Capital. This Census is to help keep the city ledger up-to-date, as well as properly distribute citizen door keys to proper citizens. Those that do not fill out the census will be dubbed as inactive and will have their homes stripped away from their ownership.

Shoukran, may Allah watch over you."

As you enter the stewards office within the Palace, a steward or steward assistant hands you a census sheet, guiding you to a table to have you write in peace. Those unable to read and write would have a steward assistant following them to write and fill out the census for them. The Census would read. . .

Citizen door keys will be redistributed to ensure the safety of all citizens. With that, a new law is to be set out for use of the citizen doors located near the docks and the main gate.

The Citizenship door near the main gate of the city, as well as by the docks, are to ONLY be used by citizens and trusted companions of that citizen. Citizens are to NEVER let in someone they do not know, especially a large group wishing entrance upon the city. This means you are to never let in a group of bandits or raiders, even if they pay you. If you are found guilty of letting in someone that is banished within Khalestine, bandits, a raiding party, or anyone that enters the city that is not a citizen but ends up breaking the law, you are subjected to the one or more of the following consequences, depending on the severity ; A fine of up to 2000 minas, the possibility of revoking citizen door keys, the possibility of banishment and eviction, the possibility of public execution.

Do you understand this law, and will ensure to follow it? This also applies to all household members as well. -

As you finish the Census sheet, you simply just hand it to the steward and are off on your way once more!

(Some OOC things to add and to read)

1. Be sure to accurately put down everyone living in your house, especially MC names. This is so I know who to have on the region, who gets citizen doors keys, and to make sure the ledger is updated.

2. For people that don't understand how census sheets work, they are all kept tucked away safely and securely in the city's vault in RP, meaning that you CAN NOT use this to rply find out if someone is living in the city, or whatever it is you're trying to use it for. That's called metagaming, so try not to do any of that.
