Definition

What is roleplaying?: When a person assumes the identity and behaviour of a character and interacts with others in a manner suiting that character.

What is metagaming?: Making your character posses external information that they should not have. Such as knowing where another character is simply because you were told OOC'ly.

What is powergaming?: Forcing an outcome which is not agreed upon by all of those involved in a session of roleplaying.

Biography:

Meythrin's original place of birth is unknown, but it is safe to assume due to his race that it was likely to be a location such as Laureh'lin.

On their way back from guarding a caravan headed towards Felsen, Svardin and Daros came across what appeared to be the aftermath of a bandit raid. Dropping their travel-bags they hurried over to what appeared to be a collection of scattered bodies, empty sacks and crates. surrounding an overturned cart. Upon closer inspection they realised that all of the corpses were Wood-Elf, both males and females among them. They checked each body individually, but to their dismay none still lived. As they began to turn away they heard a quiet sob from underneath the cart. Nodding to his brother, Svardin ran over to the cart and with Daros' help, lifted it and dragged it aside. Laying amongst a pile of blankets and pelts, was a small wood elf boy of no more than two or three years of age. The dwarves debated over what they should do with the child, Svardin, taking pity on the child, eventually decided to take the boy home with him to Urguan.

Svardin raised the boy, who he named Meythrin, as his son. As he grew, Svardin taught him to fight with a blade and axe, and other skills that he deemed necessary for the boy to know. Having a natural gift for Archery, as is common among his Wood-Elf kin, Svardin bought him a bow with which to practice. Unsurprisingly again, Meythrin later discovered that he was rather adept at woodworking.

Once he had reached his thirtieth year, Svardin took Meythlin along when he hired himself out to the local caravan masters. His brother Daros, occasionally accompanied them as well, drilling Meythlin in the art of combat each evening.

Before long, Meythlin would set out on jobs on his own. Hiring himself out as a guard as he had with his foster father and as a sellsword in other similar lines of work. Having a knack for tracking, he would occasionally be hired out as a hunter or scout.

He would often be gone from his home for months at a time, but he would always make sure to visit Svardin if given the chance.

Personality Traits: Stubborn, Withdrawn, Loyal, Can be impatient at times, unfriendly.

Ambitions: To be of valuable service to those he is employed by.

Strengths/Talents: 

Strengths: Agile, Quick-witted.

Talents: Archery, Tracking, Woodworking, Understands basic Dwarvish.

Weaknesses/Inabilities:

Weaknesses: Slightly Claustrophobic, Unsociable.

Inabilities: Can't speak Elvish. Little sense of humour.

General Appearance: Muscles ever so slightly more toned than is common for a Wood-Elf, but retains the classic lean body shape.
