New Snapshot - Flight?

In the most recent snapshot, 15w14b they have added flight! Well gliding that is. For some reason, that I am not aware they are called Elytra, which is part of a bug...

I thought I midaswell share this and ask for opinions as to if this should actually be implemented into LOTC.

 

Also, boat texture changes and control changes. So....

Would be cool for harpy event creatures, besides that, probably not.

the boat controls are utter horseshit. No reversing and harder to manage controls. It works well on pocket edition because of how the controls manage there.

 

I don't see wings being brought into LOTC though.

Yep. Boats were already terrible and they've managed to make them even worse.

Yay, dwarven flying troops will now finally be a thing!

On a more serious note, I can see wings use only for event mobs, which would add more diversity for battling rp mobs for events. Anything else, hell no.

New combat, probably the best thing they've added to mc since horses. Especially the attack speed and strenght, shields and how axes may break shields. This will make pvp a lot more interesting.

I expect Dwarven gyrocopters by the 'morrow. It shall be glorious, on a serious note I think this update will definitely make pvp interesting for those who like it, hopefully it adds more diversity to the sprint and click that it is now.
