Khron Velannak (Iron Charge)

 

 

Khron Velannak, or Iron Charge in common tongue, is Urguan’s Cavarly force. They are used primarily to patrol the borders of Urguan, flank enemy armies, scout, and support infantry/archers.

 

Ranks:

 

Commander

The First in command makes sure that the cavalry are always ready and prepared for anything.

 

Veteran (Ironriders)

The Ironriders are people who are part of the unit for a long period, experienced, equipped with the finest armour and weapons the unit can provide.

 

Bannerman

Elite legionnaires carrying the banner of the unit during a fight or battle. Only two occupy this rank.

 

Horsemen

The main force of the unit, they are well trained in mounted combat, well disciplined, always ready to serve Urguan.

 

Recruits

The Recruits are the new legionnaires, they mainly take part in patrols and will often participate in scouting missions until they have proven themselves worthy of the next rank.

 

Equipment:

 

Lance: Used for efective charges.

Horseman’s Pick : Used in melee combat

Shield : Round shield , 91 cm .

Lamellar Armour : Made with iron or leather , it provides the rider with good protection while also allowing maneuverability.     ((Is the grammar good there?))

Combosite Bow : Only used for ambushes if ranged combat is preferred. Rarely used.
