RANKS------------ CAPTAIN OF THE BRIGADELead Commander of the Brigade. Assigns officers, manages promotions, assures all goes well with the Brigade and the City.LIEUTENANTS OF THE BRIGADERight hand men to the Captain. Manages the Sergeants especially and often forms a backbone for organization as well as the city’s defense.SERGEANTS OF THE BRIGADENon-commissioned officers who often may be assigned to a specific duty such as training or equipment. Set the Greatest examples to the main force.BRIGADIERS OF THE BRIGADEThe Meat and Bread of the Brigade. The Primary rank composed of well-disciplined, well-conditioned men who operate the gates, patrol the streets, keep the city safe, and maintain the defenses.FOOTMEN OF THE BRIGADEFreshly trained recruits who are made to fall under the guidance of Brigadiers. Fight alongside them but have not earned the credibility of a Brigadier.CONSCRIPTSEntry levels troops who learn the ropes, train, and become acquainted with the city. Denotes a great service of protecting the streets of the city, and devotion not for personal gain but for the great city. Badge of the Stoic Defender; Remember the Dreadfort:Rewarded to a Soldier most dedicated to the defense of the city. Operates gates, protects citizens, and stays ever-vigilant of invading forces and banditry. Medal of the Black Mace:Named for the Saint Wilfriche, the medal denotes tremendous public service. The Saint was the greatest public servant perhaps ever, and this medal is only awarded to some of the greatest public servants in the force. Medal of the Crossroads Charge:This medal denotes great bravery in the line of duty. Named for the Chivay brothers’ charge against the Dwarves in the realm of Anthos. Aeldinic Medal:Denotes a great performance in the field of communication and diplomacy. Awarded to Soldiers who have made a difference through the use of good communication and diplomacy. Medal of the White Rose:Named for the ancient military order, this medal denotes a great Soldier. Only Soldiers who have shown great professionalism, great strength, great courage, and great devotion may earn this medal. The greatest medal which can be awarded within the brigade. NON-COMBATANT RANKS----------------------------------------- Transcriber: Handles reports for the brigade. Seeks out Soldiers for their reports on incidents, and conducts their own reports concerning the city’s demographics and opinions. Seneschal: Handles pay, and works consistently with the Quartermaster and Rationing Sergeants in order to assure the men are fed and armed, as well as seeks out deliveries of goods which the Brigade may need. Surgeon: Handles wounds and injuries within the Brigade. Doubles in handling all medical situations within the brigade. Chaplain: Representative of the Faith within the Brigade. Assures the men are well-versed with the Faith.Cook: Processes rations and meals for the Brigade.
