Chimp 528 Share Posted November 6, 2015 So i registered back in July, and when i used to play here, this server had around 350 - 400+ players online on peak hours. But nowadays the highest i've seen was 150. What happened?

GodEmperorFlam 3447 Share Posted November 6, 2015 What, 400? I think you misread the player count. It was more like 200ish (still a lot in terms of what we normally have). But this happens every year, people have school. Summer is the prime-time for LotC. Give it some time and the player count will begin to rise again. VonEbs 1224 Share Posted November 6, 2015 (edited) Activity this summer was dismal as the rollout of Vailor was constantly delayed, and school started back up as soon as the new map was rolled out, quashing any hopes of a major resurgence in player count. Perhaps not in this era of diminishing expectations.
Chimp 528 Author Share Posted November 6, 2015 So is there any project to hopefully increase player peaks? Because at this rate the server will bleed players more than it regains.
WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted November 6, 2015 *Never* isn't accurate. Perhaps not in this era of diminishing expectations. We haven't had a regular peak population of more than 200 people since Asulon, which was more than 3 years ago. We've been running at a steady 100-150 since then, with spikes during the summer or new map releases.

Surely with all the money the server makes from rank purchases and such there would be such project in going? But we're a roleplaying community full of teenagers with a motley array of skills, not a business. Finding people with the time, dedication and skillset to run a decent and successful promotion campaign is not easy since we're all amateurs who come here for escapism. Demotheus 651 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Screw the population. I think 150 is fine. How about a new map that isn't so freaking huge and hard to find RP in!? :D no?...okay.

It came out at like the end of June, and I don't think it was ever delayed. For me, that was the beginning of summer. For some Americans I guess that's like middle summer? And, there were a lot of people on during the summer, there was no 'dismal' time. The only 'dismal' time is because school started back up, and we can expect another resurgence in a month due to winter/Christmas break and ****. AlmondTree 418 Share Posted November 6, 2015 It's hard for people to get into the servers groups. There is no place to "start" out because you won't have enough minas the first week or so due to the horrible voting system and it's also hard to get into nations because they are quite unfriendly..gates closed, no one there etc etc.. Edit: Honestly why doesn't the online number grow, we accept new people like everyday don't we? Quite obvious that somethings bit wrong. Please give us a starting village so new people can get used to the RP and server.
