Blood inside a holy base

Cleric’s churches have always been holy places. Yet this day, this holy sanctuary had been stained with a crimson red liquid. At the cleric’s base, located within the far corner of the Caliphate, a few drops of the liquid would be seen at the entrance floor. Not very noticeable to those not well aware of their surroundings. Turning to the staircase leading up, and it would become fully known that something was wrong… very wrong indeed.

 

Blood drenched finger marks trailed down the stair walls.

 

Only small smudges of blood at the start of the walls, the amount raising as those who enter the base follow the trail. Someone was clearly trying to clean their hands, and did not care about leaving traces, something dark must have happened here.

 

Above one floor, above to the next, twist and turn and around corners, drips and blood trails on the walls become bigger. It all came from the laboratory of Elvira Mantisuku, a cleric and alchemist. The thick iron door, normally kept locked at all cost, would be wide open.

 

The first one to step inside of it, examining the surroundings. From there, they would find Elvira, immobilized on the ground of her lab, signs of a struggle scattered throughout the room. A small knife besides her. The neck twisted into a bad shape, but the most noticeable part of the alchemist’s appearance, was the blood covered face, an eye ripped from her left socket. If anyone checked the girl properly, they would see that the woman is still breathing faintly, paralyzed temporarily.

 

What become of Elvi? Would she remember what has happened? The only clue being a few bits of dirt around her body where she stays motionless.

What happened?

 

((Special thanks for Jistuma for this brilliant RP with a Homunclus, was kinda expecting the fight but nevertheless, it was fun. Also, I made the bloody skin and took the screenshots through using MPM. Lastly... I’m online at the spot, and no one has found me yet... Elvi needs a little help!))
