Early Life:

Parents unknown Sebastian Thrask was raised a peasant in a mining village under a Baron. It is unknown if he was born in Vailor but guesses at his age would point of him having no memories of the old land. He mined from a young age of 11 and did not have any formal education in the early years apart from a basic religious understanding. His early life is pretty insignificant but at the age of 13 Sebastian saw the Lords son beating the Bakers son. Feeling dutiful he reported the abuse to the Lord hoping he would intervene, the Lord being a fair minded man investigated but to Sebastian’s dismay the Bakers boy in fear did not testify. Sebastian was branded a lair and because of the seriousness of the allegation Thrask had his tongue cut out so he could never lie again… or speak, or a lot of things really... (Tongues are useful)

(Game events start here)

Vailor:

Arrival at Felsen

Living his mid-teens shunned and abused unable to tell of his treatment by other villagers events transpired that led to him seeking out a new life in the Capital of Oren Felsen (It may have also had something to do with the old lord dying leaving his son in charge). He quickly came to understand that as an illiterate 18 year old mute he had no future and little way of gaining one. But luck would have it in hand for Thrask. As he walked down the main street he bumped into a man wearing rough leather clothing and a temper about him, this man quickly pushed Thrask in anger of the inconvenience, no longer caring Thrask engaged the man. It was a mistake, he was beaten bloody and his attempts to fight back we easily bested but despite all this he did not give up he got back up and carried on trying to best his opponent.

Unbeknown to Thrask in the on looking, cringing crowd were a group of mercenaries. Among them Veryn Strann and Brann Marwood. His fighting was sloppy, he was underfed and rather small for his age but to Brann he saw ability, the ability to never give up, never give in and with the training that was worth something. So as Thrask was getting kicked in the torso by the man Brann and Veryn walked up behind the man, Veryn grabbed the man throwing him away, and as he rebounded Brann took little movement as he flashed some of his longsword from its sheave stating firmly “Walk away.”

Knowing the man was outmatched he walked away with a grunt and after being helped up and discovered a mute years of training and hardwork turned Thrask into the warrior he is today. His reading is slow but there, his swordplay clear and fine, his loyalty staunch and his hair and clothes no longer ripped and rags. It is just after this was achieved that years of contracts and usefulness to the Crown earnt the mercenaries commission as their friend the Prince de Savoy’s new Kings Guard, the Band of Esheveurd.

The Band of Esheveurd

The men of the Band quickly took to the newcomers and their numbers swelled, they were an elite pristine unit at one point larger than the city guard. But wars take their toll, numbers in the palace began to decrease, some to Adrian Skirmishes and later some to other bandits and assassins. They did what they were trained to do, put their lives on the line, and they did. When Horen came to the throne once again and Ashford pulled back to their new palace there numbers were lower than ever before.

The war with the Dwarfs

In the time that followed, Thrask tinkered and enchanted, Brann was knighted, Veryn and they became prominent Ashford warriors with Brann eventually taking full command of the Band and a significant role in the ranks known as the Vindicators. But with the war against the Dwarfs and Snow elves came more battles and that where we find ourselves now. Veryn laid on a slab, vindicators with weapons raised, Lord Denis making a speech and Thrask standing by Brann seeing the world he once knew beginning to fade.

(not planning on updating from that point till I have significantly more to write about)
