THE ORDER

The Black Cross aims in time to be a relatively conservatively sized, old Hansetian culturally influenced group in which civilian and military affairs are integrated for the benefit of both. The Cross will endeavor provide its loyal men and women with the pinnacle quality of arms, armour, horse, clothes, food and material for them to operate most effectively.

 

THE HIERARCHY

“It is needless to say, loyalty is rewarded.”

This hierarchy shall contract and expand based upon the amount of men in the service of the Cross, through the diversity of one's speciality and talent shall never be ignored.

 

Current Structure

GENERAL of the Cross

The de facto leader of the group who possesses ultimate authority. If a Lancefeld heir is deemed a worthy military leader then he shall inherit this position. Otherwise, it shall be chosen from the ranks until a worthy heir comes of age.

EXEMPLAR

The veteran ordermen who have gained recognition and praise for their valour, bravery and competency in combat. They are expected to mentor junior members of the order in their military knowledge and are expected to serve as an example to Sworn and Recruits alike.

 

 

SWORN

More senior members of the cross who have proven bravery and loyalty to their brothers and to the Order. They have chosen to continue on past the recruit stage and take oaths of loyalty, possessing authority and responsibility over the recruits. Sworn Crosses also receive their own personal horse, a set of high quality, supremely protective Iron plated armour and a blade created at the finest forge.

 

 

RECRUIT

A new blood in the order. At this stage, a recruit may leave the order with no penalty. They receive a set of chainmail armour and a high quality blade.

Oscar stands quite contemplatively on a snowy high, arms folded over. He smiles knowingly as the bird swoops down from overhead, carrying a letter. He reads its contents with a calm expression, before moving through the wild winds of the north and penning a response of his own. (with a more reasonably sized seal)

Reading the letter and its contents, a smile comes across Oscar's features. He begins to pen a response with haste.
