What is roleplaying?: playing a specific role in something like a video game to fit into a structured and complex society where you can interact with the world and players around you.

What is metagaming?: Meta gaming is using outside knowledge and resources such as other player via skype/curse voice. For example someone says over curse, I need help in Galahar I’m being attacked by thieves.

What is powergaming?: making it so that your character won’t be captured or killed in game by using RP tactics.

Character’s name: Josef Quinn

Character’s age: 20

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): (NOTE: Hugo Brom is going to be another person Appling) A young peasant in Galahar,  Josef Quinn was a young lad who worked on a farm. Him and his mother were on a farm owned by a knight by the name of Ulric Cramwell working for very poor wages.  Josef started to notice his mother started disappearing throughout the day more and more. One. day curious young Josef follows his mother when she sneaks away after telling him to harvest this weeks crops. He notices her heading to the knights home. Josef learns that his mother and the knight had been getting into an affair for a pay boost when his wife was away in town buying goods. 

   Josef pesters his mother with questions on this and she refuses to tell him anything about it, denying it even. One morning Josef sees his mother getting sickly and requiring more food. Josef's mother had become pregnant and it was Ulric's child. His mother tries as best she can to hide this but as time goes on it becomes impossible to hide it any longer and Ulric finds out and is furious and does not want his wife to know. 

   Ulric invites Josef's mother into the farmland  and Josef sneaks along in the shadows. He witnesses Ulric slay his mother and her unborn child in order to preserve the secret. After all who was to care a bout some lowlife peasant's death? Josef in tears packs a few belongings and the very little food they had, and left their little shack never to return to that dreadful farm.  Josef spent the next few days doing menial jobs for small markets or delivery services for hardly any pay and sleeping in the streets. Josef became very frail from lack of nutrition. He would also go on to do lost of begging for money and scraps of food usually not receiving anything in return. In the evening Josef begging as per usually stumbled across Hugo Brom an established blacksmith who took pity of Josef and brought him in teaching him to be an apprentice in the ways of Blacksmithing.  

   Hugo taught Josef the ways of hunting and gathering materials for creating weapons and armor. Over time Josef begging to get hang of things from watching Hugo mine, hunt pelts and forge weapons. As he grew older Josef gained more responsibility around the workshop.  Hugo taught Josef the technique of crafting pelts into efficient grips for the hilts or swords or on tools. Over a few years  Josef spent his time mastering the craft of fashioning these grips and lacing for weaponry and armor.  Josef would even begin to create holsters on his own and selling them. After years of hard practice Hugo believed Josef was proficient enough in this art that he allowed him to begin to educate Josef on melting down metals and how to properly perform this. For two more years this was Josef’s sole job, melting down metals for Hugo. Hugo truly a master of his craft wanted to take his time to educate Josef as a worthy black smith. After nearly ten years of training Josef still has a lot more to learn in the art of being a black smith. And now Hugo and Josef work together in his workshop.

 

Personality Traits: Daring, fast learner, cool tempered, masculine adventurous.

Ambitions: Become a seasoned Blacksmith and learn all possible from Hugo, and master archery

Strengths/Talents: farming, mining, very humble, and skilled at harvesting/crafting products out of leather/animal hide. Experience in delivery and working in small markets from his time on the streets. When training with Hugo we found he had a natural talent for hunting.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: growing up as a peasant made him very timid and shy. He feels unease around knights after that traumatic childhood experience. He can be over protective which can harm any type of relationship he enters.
