Daisy 9735 Share Posted January 30, 2016 *Avern’dionne Adriane gathers many high elves near the entrance to Fi’Ceru, giving the following speech from the steps of the inn, and then having copies of it posted and distributed about the city.* The Inept and Expired. Spoiler https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgJYNveHOYU There comes a time when all things must come to an end. Through some means or another, it is simply impossible to hold one state of being forever. Some last longer than others, yet some have brief expiries. Regardless, once expired, it must be thrown out. To keep an expired fruit is useless, and thus is the same for an expired mali’aheral. Taeleh Elibar’acal. This, lliran, is the name of one mali who had promised growth and prosperity. In a matter of weeks, though, he has proven himself to be horrendously inept. His actions, or rather inactions have lead Haelun’or to a low not seen for many years, making it appear better to live away from Elcihi’thilln for some mali’thilln than to remain within these “silver” walls, if I can still call them such. His wrongdoings are not many in number, but regardless, the list of them is far too long for that of a tilurir’mali. All around, he has failed at his job, neglected the city and allowed citizen’s voices to go unheard. This can not, and will not, be tolerated. Elcihi. Perhaps this is one of the most blatant to note. The silver walls we once took pride in is now that of a mockery. Our city holds the same architecture of one for the mali’ame. The tradition in our building design has been lost on this isle, with no attempt from this ‘leader’ to rebuild it. The city’s walls are weak, if not present in some parts of the city. This leaves our city penetrable to raiders, and for some reason the councillor seems to ignore this fact, rather arming his own militia than building our walls. Linan. For having a domicile for one’s self is essential for well being. Yet it is apparent that the inept one lacks in this understanding. The limited housing available has been given primarily to lessers above the mali’aheral within these walls. All that is available is the limited space on the city’s exterior, where as I have said, raiders are free to pillage. This is unacceptable and has been failed to be looked after, at the fault of the councillor of elves. Mali’ata. Perhaps not in himself, but in the one’s he is accompanied with. Far too frequently I see impures within our silver walls, some even residents! How, one may ask? Why, let in by the useless one, of course, given free room and board as if they were a mali’thilln. His inability to distinguish between a pure mali’aheral and one impure is disturbing, and says quite a bit about himself. Ullr. The stagnation of the mali’aheral is at a level not seen for many years. The expired one is nowhere to be seen, and the council does not meet. How is progress meant to occur if the silver council does not convene, and how can it conveen when the one to call meetings fails in his task. The inaction he takes as a councilor has caused this decay, and as he hides away us mali’aheral must take on the burden of his actions, the worst consequence I’ve still yet to mention: Indor. Out of all the offences thus far, none are quite as tremendous of a failure as our library and research. Since coming to this new city, there has been little to no attempt to establish the Eternal Library, or commence research within these walls. Eltilurir’indor is not to blame, but it is the one who sets direction on the council that is. Our pursuit for wisdom is non-apparent, and the one meant to lead us in the path has only harmed it more. As Lucion Sullas has said, “the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is dead”, and it’s slayer, lliran, is Taeleh. True, he may have rid our city of those of the dark arts, but he is no leader, and thus must be replaced, as he is ineffective as he stands. There is hope, mali’aheral! For the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is not an animal with a finite death. It is a flame lliran, a flame which must burn bright! Now, though, it is but coals. The flame is out, but rekindled it can be! For those of you who know me not, liiran, I am Avern’dionne Adriane, Sohaer of times past. I have been the rebuilder before, and shall be the lighter of our flame once more. I have seen our people at the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. From under threat of a genocide concealed in a cave, to a large nation with a prosperous cihi. I wish to see such a pinnacle again, and Taeleh, the inept and expire, can not lead us to it. Therefore I, Avern’dionne Surion, hereby challenge Taeleh Elibar’acal as the Servant of the Elves, for the betterment of Haelun’or, and the rekindling of the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. ~*~ ay’Larihei, kaean'leh thilln chul'okarae! ~*~
trinn 5146 Share Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) Andri'ante shifts in her seat, a small sigh escaping her lips as she contemplates Avern's speech. The aheral places a hand on her chin, her shoulders sagging as she thinks. "We point fingers like children nowadays." She muses lightly to herself, allowing her lips to twitch to a subtle amused smile. "Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya. Nonetheless, Avern remains to be a respectable Mali. I would not doubt her for the position." Edited January 30, 2016 by Trinny

Wendigo 786 Share Posted January 30, 2016 "His absence has been noted, as a fellow council member I have tried on numerous occasions to bring the council together to no avail. It is time for new blood and change, and I believe Avern will has what is needed to bring us back to our former glory." Riondil would comment after Avern had finished talking. Supremacy 3361 Share Posted February 1, 2016 "There is no bitterness nor scorn which comes from comprehending I do not fill the duty of Tilruir'mali. Such as post was never my goal, for it is I who only sought to preserve that which is my blood. The impurity has been purged." "You scorn me, dear Avern'dionne, as inept— as one who has brought ruin to Haelun'or. I question this toxic crusade, after all— it is you who vanished and permitted in your vanishing Izalith to rise to power. And it is my kind, the Elibar'acal, who did take upon ourselves the Righteous task of cleansing Haelun'or." "Purity is restored. The role of my kind has so reached its end. And so then I shall permit your work to begin. Bring us to new heights, and restore life to the lands of the Silver Brood. Let the chronicles of our people write plainly, it was the Elibar'acal who did purge the impurity, and you who did restore our lustre." "Your challenge is accepted. Tilruir'mali is bestowed upon you. Your duty to our people begins, and with its beginning I wish you the blessings of Larihei and but a single warning— do not fall into the corruption of Laethis, nor let the darkness and taint return to our land— for the Owl shall watch from the Sun Friend, and judge day by day". "Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya" — Elibar'acal.
