The Empire of Japan

Hideki Tojo within his offices in Tokyo planning the war in China with many of the generals of the Imperial Japanese Army had naught to worry about in concerns to the British Empire and the United States after agreements had been met to leave the fledgling Empire be with its conquest of China. The Nationalists and the Communists both launching their attacks at the Japanese Lines, it was time to show the superiority of the Japanese to all of China and ensure the conquest will be done.

Military Actions

With the Communists in the Mountains it became quickly apparent to High Command that any offensive there will go poorly, for the time being it is best to keep the Communist threat contained to their territory. The Imperial Japanese Airforce had been mobilized for this matter. Bombing runs are ordered against the communist positions, attacking all targets indiscriminately the superior Airpower of the Japanese would ensure the Communists would be unable to strike back against the air attacks. In the mean time the border with the communist would begin to be fortified, mechanized units and field artillery would ensure that any communist advance would be a slow and painful one coupled with Air superiority. The Empire of Japan would shore its border defense with the Communists up with a force to match the estimated communist numbers.

In concerns to the Nationalists, once more the Air Power of Japan would be utilized, in the early years of the war the Nationalists were able to put up a fight with its airforce however its ace pilots were all killed in the early stages of the war and the Japanese have much air power to put to use while the Pacific front is non-existent with peace ensured between Japan and the Allies. The Japanese would launch a counter offensive using its Air power to cover their advance and reign hell upon the Chinese, where its mechanized Units have failed to be useful in the lush forests, planes do not need to worry about this and can drop bombs and attack enemy troop placements whenever it see's fit.

The Imperial Japanese Navy now in firm control of the South China Sea, Yellow Sea and Sea of Japan conducts regular shipping checks to ensure weapons are not shipped to either the Communist Faction or the Nationalist Government. However the Navy takes great care not to disrupt the shipping efforts of the UNITED STATES or the UNITED KINGDOM and does not search ships en-route to Hong Kong.

Domestic Actions

The efforts of the Kempetai are stepped up, the Japanese not in this war to win hearts and minds must win through fear. Punishments for collaboration or even knowing Communists very well are stepped up. If a suspected Communist is found guilty of his or her crime it ensures a death sentence for their family and friends for suspected Treason. The Japanese will crush the resolve of the Chinese before the Communist Propaganda can stir them to revolt behind their lines. At the same time large rewards are promised for those who betray the Communist fighters and who provide information, such as large tracks of farmland, money and promised positions of power for officers who'd defect. This coupled with the Collaborationist Army and Police Forces being offered extremely enticing benefits, drawing many Chinese to work under the Japanese for more pay and rewards that they ever dreamed of. (( Mod Action I guess ))

Mass Graves of those who assist the Communists can be found in the Japanese lines with no attempt to hide them, Communist fighters may find them and be struck with a rage against the Japanese or their resolve might be crushed seeing the Japanese invaders subdue a population through such ruthless efficiency and lack of regard of however many lives are lost that aren't Japanese. The Collaborative Forces behind the lines are trained by Imperial Japanese Military to fight like the Communists do behind the lines, making targets to alluring for the Communist fighters to ignore then setting up their own ambushes, fighting fire with fire.

Factory workers in China are paid, however the shipped forced labor from the Chinese in Japan were not. Many of these workers from China that work in the Japanese factories simply disappeared, reported by Japanese bureaucrats to have died in the fighting or are somewhere else in China. However this ensures Japan's Military output for the war is far exceeding that of the Chinese or other rebel factions in Indochina or Korea, Japan will be victorious one way or the other.

In Indochina the rebels are heavily suppressed by the Kempetai and Collaborative forces in Indochina, efforts are made to keep this the case in the Indochinese Peninsula while the resources there are used to keep the factories in Japanese held China, Korea and Japan itself going so that the nation can continue to pump out weapons at a ridiculous rate in comparison to its enemies. Weapons such as rifles and sub-machine-guns are produced to continue to supply the Army of Japan.

Diplomatic Actions

The Empire of Japan at this time has no need for diplomatic actions and awaits proper contact from other factions or nations.

Quick Post - Germanic Diplomatic Actions

The
Romanians are reminded that Ukraine has already been successfully occupied for the most part, and that the government there has been fully cooperative with the Reich and its allies. Instead, they should push their armies further and aid the Ukrainians in securing the Caucuses. As for their request for airplane blueprints, their request is accepted as the Romanians have proved themselves to be valuable allies. However, these blueprints are strictly limited to at least 5 years behind the current model year.

The
Turks receive a message from the Reich in regards to continued negotiations regarding their entrance into the Axis powers.

Rather than negotiate with the Free French forces, the Luftwaffe is immediately deployed out of Greece and airdrops about 2,000 Nazi Paratroops to seize the oil fields and ensure that they are protected. This operation takes place about a week after receiving the missive, using the time between the attack and answer as "The Fuehrer pondering the offer as well as strategic pull-back."

The Germans immediately reach out to the
Portuguese and ask them what sorts of military vehicles or otherwise that they'd like to purchase.

Officers and equipment are sent to the
Italians in order to strengthen their ranks and bolster morale.

Finland

Finland agrees to SWEDEN's wish for a defensive alliance as this comes at the best time for when the war has started. They planned to trade with the Swedes as much as possible as their brothers in the north would surely understand that they too must help defeat the red menace. Mr.Mannheim announces on this day that the offensive lead by 530,00 finnish troops. The plan seemed, blitzkrieg like early germany and take over Karelia and also the Kola peninsula quickly.  They would send tank and ground troops with the airforce providing support to bomb out any Russian heavy armor in the area. But really all of the Russian were focusing on the Germans, so who cared about the Finns.

Actions

Finland-Contiuation-War.jpg

  • I accept my defensive alliance with Sweden.
  • We have invaded Karelia and the Kola peninsula and have we have declared war on the Soviets.
  • We are awaiting the German response if we could use there troops stationed in Finland.

Otto received reports from the Reich of Finnish and Hungarian support. He went to his Ukrainian supporters, and told them to send a message.

"To our esteemed Hungarian and Finnish Allies. Now is the time we must take our chance and rise up against the military beast that is the Soviet Union. Long have we been oppressed by these monsters, and all of us will need all the help we can get if we wish to remain separate. Rise with us. Our country, yet small and fragile, has one of the most important factors. Her people are brave. If you shall rise up and take the chance to assist us with ripping out the heart of the beast, join us."

The message would be relayed to Hungary and Finland. In the meantime, however, the militia has rallied at the Russian border. They begin to speak with their German compatriots and ask them to bring any useful supplies they can spare. They make three items the top priority; guns, ammo, and artillery. The untrained soldiers plan to get their revenge.

The Germans naturally accept such a request, allowing joint-operations to occur between the Finnish and Germans (you can control those German troops)

Mod Post

Some nations are starting to reorganize their infrastructure, army, economy, and other things. Some key examples would be Italy, Turkey, Romania, and the Soviet Union. Such things will take time however. Nations like these will need to keep at it, to succeed. If their armies are disorganized, their effort is only the beginning. It was like that for a reason, inefficient and outdated. There is hope on the horizon, but not for now. (Nations who started with disorganized armies, economies, etc. need to keep developing. Sufficient time has not passed to make their efforts complete.)

War in China

Japan's efforts to suppress the populace brutally seem to be working for now. The long since taken provinces have begun to settle down. Their only other choice as to die. Newly taken areas however are a hot-bed of guerrilla activity. The spread of Chinese propaganda is working, inspiring some. Chinese peasants in the north are slowly rallying to the communist cause. As the Japanese settle into their northern defensive front, their supply lines are harassed. It shows that some do not fear their revenge. Nationalist rebels have great success, dodging the frequent Japanese air patrols. They are disrupting Japanese supply and reinforcement routes. Their spy network also begins to take root. However, the Japanese air offensive is successful. As the skies darkened, their initial assault killed hundreds of Nationalist. The Chinese army is slowly pushed back, deeper into the heartland. However to keep pushing with this assault will mean stretching supply lines already under stress. The use of so many planes in one are will mean Japan has to bring in a constant supply of oil. Nationalist spies bring map information back of oil depots and Japanese garrisons. In the process however one is caught, and the Japanese are aware of some sort of spy group.

War in Africa

The British fleet accompanied by a contingent of Free French ships make good time. They make it to the straight, where there is slight resistance. From there they can either shell Spain and control the straight, or continue on to fight the Italians. Assuming they keep going, the British navy will beat the ships sent to engage them. The Italians naval harassment strategy however shows some success. They can draw off some British ships, lessening naval patrols. However after Italy pulls it's fleet to harbor, England wins the seas. Italy's four hundred thousand troops are effectively cut off from the main land. Though they can try to smuggle supplies at night, it's not enough to supply them all. It will be hard to garrison that many men in their towns and coastal cities. The British fleet traveling through the Suez comes late to the initial fight. After they add their numbers to the fleet however, Italy's supply line is barely a trickle. Spain's armies sent to Morocco make it before the British fleets arrive. However they now face the same problem as the Italians.

War in Russia

The Finnish/German attack is finally set into motion. Waiting to arm all the Finnish troops took some time. Maneuvering the armies into position also took more time. It was difficult to move all the Finns secretly through the swampy forest. The Germans start the assault, catching the Soviet's eye. However they are not used to this climate, and the advance stalls. Soviets gain the time they need to entrench against the Germans. The Germans continue to throw themselves at the Soviets, making slight gains. As the fight grinds into the night, Germans fall back. Their front line was depleted, reserves needed to move up front. The Finns, unaware of Germany pulling back, continue through the countryside. Though they were severely delayed, they did manage to arrive in stealth. They take the soviets unawares, and a large battle ensues. Spread out through swamps and forest, the two sides duel. Small pockets of leaderless men were everywhere, shooting at anything that moved. The Finns were not like the Germans, they had no imperial army. However their spirit to win back their homeland drives them. The Soviets begin to pull back, but it is not a rout. They fight for every mile, but nevertheless they are retreating. The Finns have managed to dislodge the Soviets by themselves. Now the choice for the wounded Axis armies was to recover or keep up the assault.

Soviet Bessarabia is no citadel, but it is not lightly manned. Soviets have long been stationed on this front, the Balkans is always prized. The Romanians are met with infantry on the other side of the river. Though they have started reorganizing their army, this fight shows the cracks. Officers were killed, and order began to break down. The Soviets though outnumbered see the opportunity and advance. Romanian armies could possibly be driven back into the river. But then Stalin's orders come in. The army stops, and then fully turns around. Soviets pour out of Ukraine, in fact all of the western front. They entrench deep into Russian territory, readying themselves. Tatar militias and the Soviet army in Crimea refuse the orders. They will continue to fight, and are heavily fortified. All Axis forces advancing into Russia will find the border largely undefended. The further they advance however, the more their supply lines will be harassed. Advance too far, and they will meet the fortifying Red army....

Stalin's immense redirection of manpower into the German assault shows success. Although they were now losing the western front to the various Axis armies, Germany's advance slows. Germans keep pushing on however, taking ground. More and more Soviets arrive daily, and are thrown into the lines. Germany will have to make the choice, advance into the teeth of the Red army, or something else.

The United States of America

The United States was faring well. Not only did they now control the Caribbean through Cuba, but American products were also a hot commodity among allied nations. With nearly everyone being either decimated, involved or preparing for conflict, the US proved itself to be a stable economy to invest in. After all, Roosevelt's diplomacy would give no implication that the US wanted war... According to themselves at least.

The European theater was a mess to begin with. Roosevelt had doubts about its allies' capability to win, or even survive the war. The French Resistance was too slow, the USSR too unorganized and the British too involved with petty undertakings for the US to feel comfortable to get deeply involved. Roosevelt wanted to see results; to see a fight for democracy and liberty.  The public wasn't stupid either. They understood that Roosevelt was timing their involvement, an undertaking that some didn't want to commit to.

7332405faf90aa1d37b74ca242c39abb.png

Renowned US air force pilot Charles Lindbergh for example was actively campaigning against Roosevelt's 'Indirect Warfare' policy that the USA discreetly pursued. Despite being labeled as a fascist by the media, his support showed the US government that war was perhaps an uneasy topic for the weary American. Yes, the economy and industry was booming. Yes, Roosevelt had massive popularity. But in the end; American boots overseas seemed as a bridge too far.

Roosevelt understood that either America should face an imminent threat, or the war had to turn tides, for the American people to support such an undertaking. The government of course preferred the latter, thus imposing a policy through a bill called "The  International Caretaker Act" , where the US president would obtain more authority on foreign policy and the allocation of budget funds. The Act would also recognize the US as the only nation with consistent democratic values, traditions and history that should serve as an example to allies and adversaries alike.  Roosevelt presented this law as an ultimatum: Either Congress passes the bill, or the US goes to war. The choice for Congress was simple.

LandingOnLuzon.jpg

The naval assets used to strong-arm Cuba and the remaining fleet on the east coast are send from Cuba to Liberia to establish US presence in the Africa's.  The total register of military assets are:

4 Destroyer's

1 Naval Carrier

12 Submarines

3000 Official Militants

1500 Draftees

500 Other Personnel

The Destroyers would be around the Naval carrier with the twelve Submarines circling the Destroyers; scanning for potential interception forces. US allies are notified only after the naval force mobilizes. Liberia was, as Cuba, a weak democracy that only existed as a modern country due to US investments. Their roads, schools and their only airport were all build by US dollars, which they considered adopting since 1926. The Ships would stay at the coast of Liberia and send a similar ultimatum, with a similar context: Threat of Fascist/Communists being elected, the US to be thanked for their independence, big promises when becoming the 50th state and the leaking of fictional reports of Spain planning to invade Liberia after steamrolling surrounding territories of Morocco. If they did not comply, the US would need to take 'desperate measures' due to their desperate situation. Implying the use of force. In reality however, the US wanted an African foothold and a monopoly on the biggest Allied rubber facility.

[Mod]

In the meantime, the Committee of Industry & Logistics pressure the French Resistance to step up their expansion campaign in Africa and France. Despite their hard position, the Committee wishes to see results before investing millions of Dollars in makeshift industry and territorial consolidation for the French.

The US delegation commends Japan for their rational take on diplomacy, but in that spirit, advises the Japanese to ease their domestic policy towards their 'militarily integrated peoples' as it would backfire on them.  Roosevelt was interested in seeing Japan become like 'us', but the Allies simply couldn't condone inhumane domestic policy. No threats nor pressure were put behind the words though.

Regno d'Italia

The Italian North Africa army was to be on its own for the time being, and the generals there knew that the worst thing they could do was wait to starve to death. Instead, the German forces in North Africa are called upon to push with the Italians, and the 400,000 strong army, hopefully with local German support, begins a fast paced attack on the British in Egypt. The attack would be supported by the large amounts of artillery and armored cars already in Africa, and some artillery is actually placed on top of vehicles as tank destroyers. North Africa by itself had low production, if any, and while no new supplies would come in, the army had been preparing for an offensive into Egypt for months anyways. Their goal would be to carve a path through Egypt to the Nile and further to the Suez canal, and they would fight with grim determination - if they failed, Italy had almost no way to save them, but if they could make it to the cities, they could take supplies necessary to a prolonged upkeep in Africa and the Middle East, along with threatening British holdings.

In Ukraine the Italian army marches along the coast to the Crimean peninsula, where a methodical approach is set up - heavily bombard Soviet fortifications with long-range artillery for hours to days before launching assaults with well-trained and equipped units. This would minimize Italian casualties and hopefully leave enough marks that the other Axis powers take notice of Italy's assistance.

On the home front, propaganda is produced in large quantities to try to gain support for the invasion of the Soviets.

33bbfb083abc427f784dbc919aa7e75d.jpg

In the Italian main, Mussolini's plan that put the army in dire straits begins to turn public opinion further from the Fascist government. King Victor Emmanuel III makes public speeches in various Italian cities of a better future and more than enough money to live well on after the war is over. Production of more escort warships and armaments continue, and the Impero battleship is scheduled to resume construction.

A private message from the Italians makes its way to Turkey.

Spoiler

Italy is willing to cede all of the Dodecanese islands save Rhodes and Leros to Turkey should the government of Turkey be willing to send or smuggle supplies to the Italian North Africa army currently invading Egypt. This would also give Turkey the naval base of Patmos. The Italian government is also willing to cede Rhodes if the Turkish launch a surprise attack on the British fleets and join the war on the side of the Axis powers. It should also be known that Italy has little interest in the land past the Suez canal.

SOVIET RUSSIA

eagle_hammer_sickle_dark_by_hard_rob.jpg

The Germans were held back and their advance was slowed severely, Many disagree with Stalin's decision to allow them to advance so far. But there was method to his madness. Once the Soviet Armies had fallen back to their planned positions they were to fortify and hold their positions till either victory was had or the last soviet lay dead.
Back in the Kremlin the military was still unorganized and frail, oddly enough the recent defeats and victories were a massive opportunity for Stalin to attempt to solidify its military and strengthen Soviet moral.
Massive propaganda was spread throughout the Soviet Union, stories of their brave and courageous men fighting against the Fascist Pigs. Every victory was greatly embellished and the defeats described as tactical withdrawals. The people need not know the horrors for this would only stall progress, the peasants need not become a problem for the High Command were the only ones who needed to know the true problems of the Soviet State.

MILITARY ACTIONS
Soviet Air-force assets are sent against the Finnish armies in an attempt to halt or slow their advances further, with a secondary objective to bomb and raze civilian and logistical locations I.E Cities, Villages, Factories, Depots in an attempt to break their spirit or force them fortify against the Russian Air-force's attacks. (POK PLZ)

B-24s_of_15th_Air_Force_bomb_Romanian_oi

Following up on the massive pile of reports recorded from engagements with Russia's enemies Officer's and Soldiers alike whom had showed promise and the ability to lead their men were selected for deeper investigation. The hopes in this project was to begin promoting Officer's and soldiers capable of leading the Soviet Army in its struggle and to fill in the gaps in the command structure. This new operation will been a dynamic and required task in restoring the Soviet's disorganized Army. (POK PLZ)

Mobilization and attempted reorganization of the Red Army continues. All Soviet forces dig in and fortify against the German's and their allied forces. Now well within their own territory and with reinforced numbers they would stand a much larger chance in fending off against the Germans and German Allied Forces without giving any ground. (POK PLZ)

DOMESTIC ACTIONS
Massive news feeds and constant radio broadcasts fill the air within the Soviet State. Citizens in every corner of Russia hear of the brave soldiers fighting to defend the Motherland. Radio Broadcasts and newspapers spin greatly embellished stories of the victories in the Western Front and greatly downplay defeats as tactical withdrawals in an attempt to raise civilian moral and boost its populace with pride. (POK PLZ)

While Soviet Soldiers within the military are hardened and as patriotic as they come. Wars aren't won by brave souls alone. No there are always those whom must do the dirty work that no honorable man would ever do.
Soviet High Command looks to its Prisons and hardened criminals. People condemned to death or a life behind bars for actions too horrid or vile to mention. The Soviet Army makes them all an offer. Criminals are offered their freedom in return for serving in Penal Battalions within the Soviet Army, they would fight in the worst places, be kept under constant watch and at the slightest hint of treachery or discontent be executed as a traitor. Only Criminals with no known attachment to anti Soviet Political Groups or enemies of the State will be allowed within this program, I.E Political Enemies, Enemy POWs and so forth are barred from this program. Attempts at forming a massive group of Penal Soldiers for the Soviet Army are underway and detailed records organized to keep track of the number of Penal Divisions Russia will have available for deployment if successful. (POK PLZ)

DIPLOMACY
The USSR has no requirement for Diplomacy at this time.

Sweden

Sweden continues to try and boost it's industrial and agricultural foot hold, trying to grow its economy and industry to prepare for any sort of threat from either Germany or the Soviets.

Military

The military continues to go through a weekly training schedule along with scenario's for if an invasion had commenced, focusing mainly on hit and run tactics or guerrilla tactics during a German or Soviet invasion, some thought is put into defending the Finnish lands if and when the Soviet push into their lands.

Economy

Sweden continues to grow and expand its industrial and agricultural capabilities to supply it's military while the infrastructure begins to be worked on while educational facilities also begin to be worked on in the country, Jobs continue to be offered with a law enacted so companies would need to pay their employee's the minimum wage at most.

Political

Sweden asks Germany on the matter of Norwegian lands once again asking if Germany could handing Norwegian land over to Sweden so they would not have to worry about fierce resistance while using Finland's fierce resistance against the Soviets as an example, Trade offers are also sent out to those who wish for it how ever it may be limited due to the war.

Mr.Mannerheim receives a letter from the Ukrainians and then responds immediately...this is what it said..

''Greetings friends in the Ukraine! We send this brief telegraph to notify you that we support your efforts against the Soviets and wish to enter into an alliance with you against the red menace. When our campaigns in the north are finished we will send troops and support to the Ukrainian front in order to prevent the Soviets from attacking you. We accept your offer of an alliance and in the mean time we pray for our Ukrainian allies. All the best from Finland!''

Finns have received from the Germans that they can use their troops and this bodes well as more able bodied men on the front against the Soviets is better. After fighting hard battles against the red menace the Finns and their German allies have taken a lot of Karelia and the Kola peninsula. The men are ordered not to advance but to fortify heavily as the a Soviet counterattack is very likely. They entrench with heavy arms and artillery, while aircraft bomb any soviet forces in the Karelia and Kola area. They also recruited Sami and Karelians to help out with the army as they know they land and make great snipers/scouts. Soon the Finno-Uralic homeland will belong to the Finns!!

Actions

  • Ukraine is notified and given a letter from Mr.Mannerheim about our acceptance of an alliance with them.
  • We fortify our captured positions in order to prevent a Soviet counterattack or to stop one in its tracks.
  • Recruiting of local Karelians and Sami into the armed forces to act as scouts. (mod give number of recruits please)
  • We await the Soviet response.

People’s Republic of China

The Red Army fears not the trials of the March,
Holding light ten thousand crags and torrents.
The Five Ridges wind like gentle ripples
And the majestic Wumeng roll by, globules of clay.
Warm the steep cliffs lapped by the waters of Golden Sand,
Cold the iron chains spanning the Tatu River.
Minshan's thousand li of snow joyously crossed,
The three Armies march on, each face glowing.

Mao Zedong

2, September 1941

Curses are moaned from the mountain peaks as bomb fly out day and night. The hovels on the sides of the mountains the impromptu bomb shelters from which outdated rifles sprung forth lead towards planes overhead.

Comrade Mao pounded his fist on his desk, and sent papers and books tumbling to the cave floor. His shouts of pure rage ringing out for his escorts and aides to hear, the foreign capitalists denied aid to his suffering people, Comrade Stalin gave the cold shoulder to his people, and Chiang keeping him from giving a word to the world.

A single Japanese soldier captured as he pissed alone in the forests is brought to the most heavily trapped road in Northern province. He is stripped and tightly bound, a torn and graffitied Japanese flag is painted on his chest in yak blood. He is left in the middle of the trapped road for any poor Japanese squadron to attempt to save him, or leave him to starve.

Military Policies

The 400,000 well fed mobilized veteran guerilla fighters continue the 'Lanzhou Defensive', troops are ordered to continue to follow Mao's rules of engagement.

1. Attack dispersed enemies; isolate enemy forces. Do not engage concentrated strong targets.

2. Diminishing the enemies strength is key, gaining villages and cities only comes after the enemy lies weak. Do not siege or take villages or cities before the enemy is weakened.

3. In every battle concentrate a superior force, encircle, and never let the lesser numbered enemy escape the net. Leave no enemy soldier to tell the tale. The aim is to smash a part of the enemy army so push the front and flanks, so that the whole will crumble.

4. Fight no battle unprepared, fight no battle you are not sure of winning; make every effort to be well prepared for each battle, make every effort to ensure victory in the given set of conditions as between the enemy and ourselves.

5. Replenish our strength with all the arms and most of the personnel captured from the enemy. Our army's main sources of manpower and matériel are at the front.

6. Make good use of the intervals between campaigns to rest, train and consolidate our troops. Periods of rest, training and consolidation should in general not be very long, and the enemy should so far as possible be permitted no breathing space.

The commanders are reminded to strictly follow the 4th rule of engagement, Mao does not want to see 100,000 men lay dead due to incompetence.

The 160,000 freed up regulars are ordered to undertake a brutal guerrilla warfare campaign. No prisoners are allowed, any soldiers killed are to be completely stripped and no bullets to be wasted on finishing off severely injured Japanese troops. Only ones spared from wrath of the Communist regulars are ethnic Chinese or Koreans, whom are interred for two weeks and freed if determined not indoctrinated. Those free are given the choice of a place in Communist village, KMT village, Communist army, or to be allowed to try and trek past Japanese lines back home.

The 15,000 Communist regulars are kept on the frontline with the Nationalists, officers are ordered to listen to the walls for any vital information that could aid in future Communist attacks against Japan.

The 5,000 (4,750) Communist regulars behind enemy lines continue their cause of vengeance upon Japanese menace. They are ordered to continue to continue efforts as they had before.

A 250 man "Dare to Die Corps" is pulled back to be re-armed from the 5,000 man guerrilla force. They are armed with swords and vests that have been fashioned with grenades and explosives. These brave souls are the most fervent son's of China, willing to die to further the cause. They are ordered to descend upon Japanese factories, police stations, checkpoints, ammunition storage depots, armored vehicles, and warehouses

Domestic Policies

Propaganda is continued to be turnt out at a rapid speed to be spread to all nearby areas, behind both the Chinese front lines and if possible the Japanese. The horrors of aiding the Japanese rung up, the united cause of the Chinese people noted, and general encouragement of resistance. A new theme is placed upon the Japanese indiscriminate bombing campaigns, labeled as vultures preying upon the defenseless man too scared to face the Chinese upon the ground.

Comrade Mao tours about Communist villages and cities giving speeches to raise the morale of the common man. He finishes his small tour in the two KMT villages he had previously had occupied and gave a formal apology for his acts during war time. An olive branch offer to Chiang apparent as these two speeches were the only to be recorded, and mysteriously wound up sent to Chiang secretary's office.

Educational reforms within the Northern province is stepped up, any young children in surrounding KMT villages are invited to come to the small school houses if their parents seek for them to be educated. There is no price to the education, and exhaustive effort is poured into the project by intellectuals and teachers, but there is a striking lack of literature besides Marxist dogma.

Foreign Policies

A small shipment of sabres and outdated matchlock armaments are smuggled to Communist sympathizers and French freedom fighters in French Indochina.

A telegram is sent to the British Delegation in Hong Kong.

A telegram is sent to the Soviet Union, personally once more to Comrade Stalin.

Telegram

Great Britain

Spoiler

To the British governmental offices in Hong Kong, I, Mao Zedong, request the aid and charity of British citizens. My people need books and educated teachers to come to the Northern provinces of China. The citizens will be far from the front lines and safe, the war may stagnate but my people will not. No longer will China be a plight of ignorance, I request that the British people aid us reform our people's education.

Soviet Union

Spoiler

Comrade Stalin I request of you aid, the Yellowed Devil has deployed it vultures upon the Chinese people. I request that you provide the anti-air armaments on your outdated Far-East fleet be dismantled off of them and be smuggled to Northern Provinces through Mongolia to us.

If you refuse that, then please send us the rudimentary parts and blueprints to try and at least produce a few of these batteries.

The Ukrainian militias would send small detachments across Ukraine to recruit as much loyal fighters as possible. As their request for supplies was ignored by the Reich, they start to create their own makeshift weapons. The barricade on the Russian-Ukrainian border would be on high security 24/7 to stop the Soviets from pushing into their country. Those with guns would have gone to farms and gotten horses from their owners. (POK PLEASE)

Half of of the Ukrainian forces begin to rally. Otto would send a telegram once more to German generals, requesting supplies and soldiers once more. The militia would charge out into Russian territory, and they begin to slaughter anyone near the border without mercy, their reasoning being the famine that Stalin himself caused years ago. (POK PLEASE)

Fighting France

"So Mr.Roosevelt wants us to 'step' actions up, non?" de Gaulle is heard to remark to his aide. When that particular telegram reached Bon Voyage, the exile government was angered. But de Gaulle remained calm, he walked amongst his aides. A joke there, a piece of advice there, he calmed his staff. As they formed a circle around him, waiting, Charles grinned.

"These Americans are not even in the war, yet they tell us what to do? I suppose they do not understand the nature of this war. Do not call the Americans demons for this, they are still our allies. This a a hunt, one of patience and timing. The Americans have everything, they would solve the problem with numbers. We have much more subtle tools, with a reach farther then many may know... However, I do agree with the spirit of the message. The Axis powers are advancing, heads held proud. They already think this war is as good as done. But it if far from over! The Fight is far from over! For months we have been growing, consolidating. Now it is time to show the Axis what France can do. From this day on the fight will never stop, until we are victorious. We shall be Fighting France, being free is already our very nature. Let the Americans learn what a fighting Frenchmen can do!"

This speech is not publicized, but it went down in the mind of every man there. The Fighting France government is revitalized. Their infamous parties double, and many go off to fight. The French Resistance sends word to de Gaulle that they are ready. But he has one task to ask of them, before they go ahead....

French Resistance delegates have long since fled to the U.S. From there they tried to gather any form of help they could. Over the months their contacts grew, their use more valuable. Resistance high command personally gives orders to a Resistance member in NYC. A team is assembled, of the resistance member and some hired French mercenaries. They will wait for a dark night, and go to the Statue of Liberty. They will either take the guards by surprise and knock them unconscious, or hold them at gun point. From there a team will bring crates of things that looked like dynamite. After about an hour, the team makes itself scarce before cops arrive. As NYC stirs and thinks a terrorist strike just happened, the crates go off in the statue. Fire works, hundreds of them. They shoot into the air, proud red white and blue colors. The fireworks illuminate a French flag pegged to the torch. In French across it is "Remember the Revolution".

After this gaudy show, the real fight starts. French Resistance cells across Germany start operations. No large risings or revolts occur. Instead they quietly try to sabotage key German positions. Some bold ones will attack officers, assault patrols. For the main part however they seek to destroy vital things. They cut pole lines, sabotage rail tracks, and other terrorist acts. The goal was to de-rail the german supply lines, and force them to tie troops up in France.

The Fighting France navy opted to stay and guard the Gibraltar straight. As the Brits went to fight Italy, the French stayed put. They begin to blockade Spain, cutting off any ships bound for it. Ten more warships are sent from Africa to strengthen the blockade. The French submarines wait for Spain's armies to load up onto the ships. As the ships returning to Spain hit deep water, they are attacked. Submarines lead the strike, targeting Spain's escort ships first. From there three French warships guarding the straight will engage. Their goal was to sink the troops in their transports. French Resistance members, British Commandos, Catalonian rebels, and Navarre hills men set up in the Pyrenees. They will harass Spanish supply lines. The goal was to harass both their sea and land routes.  (Mod for battle outcome)

In Africa, France continues to raid Vichy France land. Their skirmishing force is small, aiming to take out water and oil supplies. The majority of the army remains in their own land. The Fighting French army is spaced out around the border, hidden away in camouflaged camps. The bulk of the new army still remains at training. For the past few months that's all they've been doing, and it shows.

Vichy France

Domestic

Petain’s smile had turned from one of joy to one of distress as news of the raids in Africa are reported back, News spreads through the government's ranks as FFF gain minor victories over the VFF garrisons along the border towns. Petain is swift to snuff out these whispers, and any who speaks of it is to be imprisoned on counts of treason.

A sort of Martial law was set into effect, curfew is set to 8Pm and all gathering with more than 5 people must be registered with the government and all must go through a background check. All citizens of France now most own passports walking around, and temporary ones will be granted to those visiting family or on international business earlier approved by the government. Gestapo and Milic will help enforce these laws, and those under suspect of treason will be taken by the Gestapo and interrogated.

Foreign

The trade agreement with Spain is accepted, it greatly benefiting the French trade which lost most of it’s trade partners when the armistice was signed. A deal is struck with the Sweden, as they will produce tanks for France and will receive one for every three produced.

Germany is also sent a missive asking permission to recruit/train more troops. Being several limited to manpower and the approaching threat of America/Britain/Free French Forces in Africa and towards the shore of France. Petain would also ask if 250,000 troops out of the 2 million held by the Germans would be released.

Trade deals are sent to Italy/Turkey/Finland

Military

The FFF raids on the West African border provided some difficulty at first, but Petain’s new play would result in a more defensive approach, as towns affected by the raids will have their citizen’s displaced to temporary refugee camps and homes. Within this raiding zone, it would now seemingly be a ghost town and 15 miles west of this raiding zone a defensive line is set up. Bunkers being construction, tank traps placed in lines with dragon's teeth concert barriers. Artillery emplacements are constructed to assist in driving out raiders when spotted. The same would be repeated by on borders shared with Great Britain. (Will draw out defensive position map when time allows).

On the coast, Spain, Italy, and Sweden are asked if they could spare any engineers to help with the construction of the same defenses focused on near key-coastal areas and beaches.

((WILL POST ON ROMMEL’S MOVES SOON!!!!))
