The Lost Vault

We have been wondering for years now, always in fear. Once we were from Nevada but no more. Lucky enough to have a vault called home, we took shelter. Those were the best years, in the comforts of our vault. But fear ran through, uncertainty of the outside world. All these fears were inflamed when the power started to fail. There just wasn't enough experienced people left, we were all farmers. Eking out the last of the Vault's life, we cowered and argued. Some wanted to remain, to keep trying. Others, like myself, argued that it was god's sign to leave. Months passed, as the situation for more and more dire. Eventually the split ran too deep, tempers too hot. My followers and I, we took matters into our own hands. With pistol and baton, we did what we had to. Those who would chose to remain, would remain with no supplies. Gathering up everything we could, the Vaults population left.

Our party stopped at the large gate, hesitant. As their new leader, I would be the first to enter the outer world. What would this bring us? Did some great gift lay outside? Our home is rotting, and us with it. It's time to leave, to find a new land to call ours. Taking a deep breath, I pushed the rusted gate open. The light was blinding, but I walked into it. My people came behind, taking heart from my actions. Those were the worst times, relearning the ravaged earth. We would not settle amidst the filth, we would keep going. Eventually things got better, we became more experienced. My people were made for this, not to rot in some dismal vault. As the month progressed, we became efficient at traveling the scarred lands. Our scouts and APC's were better armed, we could raid or defend well.

After a while of wandering, we heard hints of a sacred place. Catching it off of rich merchants, wanderers like us, or other sorts of people. Some great vault is said to exist. It was made to shelter whole states, whole peoples. The idea spread amongst my people. Though we were now wanderers, settling down was tempting. For now though all we hear is rumors and falsities.

However, my people and I have convened, to make an important situation. We would start to head north. This is where I am now, and every day hence is still a mystery. The majority of us lost souls are in the main convoy. Shepherded by outriders, they are the heart. The head is our APC'S and scouts, their mission was the most important. Behind came some soilders, men who were once security in the vault. From now on our vanguard will raid smaller parties, to gather supplies. If a small village is found, it will be surrounded by our entire force. From there we will acquire supplies peacefully, or over the population's corpses. We will also scout farther away from our main column. We hope to find anything of use. (Mod response please)

In our roughly north-east travels, we begin to hear rumors of a larger faction. The Outcast as they call themselves, their reputation is spreading. For now my people will skirt around their territory, stealthily. Trying to measure their strength, scouts dressed as wastelanders are sent into their lands. They will try to find out what they can of the Outcast. At the same time I dispatch a messenger with an escort. It is hoped the excitement of the messenger will allow the scouts to slip in.  They will treat with the Outcast, claiming to be a part of a medium sized merchant convoy. The Outcast may take note of their uniforms, pistols, and security batons. My messenger will ask after supplies, try to chat them up and maybe get a good deal. (Mod/Player response please)

fallout-4-beacon.jpg?w=600

Bon Bon wrapped a ripped part of her cloth shirt over her bullet wound. The bullet hand't cause much damage, but grazed her arm enough that it made her bleed. The mutant hounds were fiercefully eating the dead bodies of the 'traders', growling at those that came near. Bon Bon placed her radio down on a counter inside the building, sighing as she rolled her arms. She then went to go activate the Fusion Powered Radio Beacon happily. It played songs, and in between told the location of the radio beacon. "Nice job boys, now let's get started." Bon Bon turned to the others, calling out commands softly.

Tasks

Search the base for any weapons, armor, or anything of use.

Activate the radio beacon, attracting settlers or other factions. (Other players, or just new recruits for my faction!)

Guard the old military base for any raiders.

Contact our own faction, and tell them to come to the military base.

Resources

4 Armored Personnel Carriers.

1 Fusion-Powered Radio Beacon.

FEV tanks, previous and current research on the FEV experiments.

Brotherhood Outcasts

"It's a sad day, when you lose brothers and sisters. Knights Jackie, Rosa, Maxim, Tanner, Gary, Lana, Kyle, Fredrick, Henson, and Gina perished in the line of duty recently. We grieve for them, as their family, but we also grow from their passing. With each brothers and sisters passing, our resolve to clear the wasteland of the dangers such as those that took their lives grows. Though they may no longer be with us, they will always be watching over us. As sure as the star will shine at night, or the sun will rise over the horizon each day, they will watch over us, guide us, and protect us. Grieve over their passing, and never lose sight of our goals."

As Elder Aleks leaned back, having just sent that message out over the radio, to Union Station, and Marina Base, as well as across Outcast HQ. Head Paladin Joan nodded her approval, tears filling her eyes. "That was beautiful sir." Joan clears her throat, and wipes away her tears. "Ahem. With that sir, we have a few matters to discuss. First would be Marina Base's successful establishment. They are requesting fresh orders. There is also the matter of what you would like Union Station to do with the Mr. Handy models they located.

Elder Aleks nods, sliding the list of casualties to the side. With a last glance at them, he looks to Head Paladin Joan. "Right. Have Union Station send the Mr Handys over to us. We'll send them were we think the would best be utilized. Have them escorted by the returning 30 Paladins. Have 20 of the remaining Knights sweep the hospital, and recover any weapons, ammo, and medical supplies. As for Marina Base, have them construct a wall around themselves, to try and keep the worst of the threats out. I still plan to investigate that bunker they located, but I need more time to think of a plan.

Head Paladin Joan would nod, and jot down a few notes. "There is also another matter to attend to, sir. There is a group of traders, outside the gates. They wish to come in and trade. They seem to be from a vault, based on their weapons and armor."

Elder Aleks would sigh, and nod. "The traders may enter the gates. They will, however, not enter any buildings, except civilian barracks. They may sleep there, while they are here. Any personal trading anyone wishes to do may occur. If they wish to do any large scale trading, however, they will need to select a single representative to meet with me. We can discuss any trades from there. Dismissed."

Head Paladin Joan would nod, and leave the room. Elder Aleks would sigh, and pick the list of casualties up, as well as a small baggy. Across the front of the baggy there was a label reading: *The effects in this bag are of a deceased soldier, being given to the closest living relative. The effects inside belonged to one Rosa Hymn.*

Elder Aleks pulled open the bag, and poured the contents into his hand. A small, framed picture of a younger Aleks, and Rosa, as well as Rosa's dog tags fell into his hands. Elder Aleks removed his own dog tags, and attached Rosa's to the chain. As he slipped the chain over his head, several tears rolled down his face. Many people had lost their children, and Elder Aleks knew he was neither the first, or the last.

ACTIONS

1. Marina Base would construct a wall at the perimeter. They would also construct a radio tower, to connect with HQ. (2 Turns each)

2. Union Station would send 20 knights to sweep the hospital, and collect any supplies still remaining there. (MOD)

5. The traders (Lost Vaulters) would be allowed into HQ, but would have restricted access, allowing to go to the civilian barracks only. While there, anyone on base could do personal trading, however, for any large scale trading, they would be required to select a single representative to make any deals. (dirtyhairy)

6. The resources taken to Union Station would be sorted. (Terminals recovered would be repaired, and used after sorting, so logging of those resources could occur) (MOD)

The Haven

latest?cb=20150615125853

Atlas would receive word from his scouts of a large group of people. Normally, he wouldn't be worried about this, but these guys had power armor and a lot of weapons. "Son of a *****..." Atlas cursed as he heard this. He spoke told The Punisher to call a meeting in the capital. Once everyone gathered, he began to speak. "So, brothers. There are apparently some guys near Salt Lake City with some power armor. Now, are we gonna let some fools with advanced technology bring down this Haven? These people are too dangerous to be sitting around, so we have some options. We talk with them peacefully, or we go to war." With this, he stepped back into his manor and entered the communications room. "Set up a link with these guys, and let me talk to him" he told one of the operators. When it was set up, he spoke into the microphone. "So, assholes. I noticed you got some power armor with ya'. See, I got a few small problems with this. One, you got power armor and I don't. And two, you are a danger to me and my boys, and most of them want to hand you to our ferals, but I'm a bit more collected than them. I give you a proposition, meet with us peacefully, or we will have to bring the ferals to you. If you don't respond to this within 72 hours, I will assume the latter. The clocks ticking." Atlas left right after saying this. He collapsed into his dirty bed, took some jet, and drifted to sleep.

Atlas would wake up from his nap, and would immediately draw his pipe pistol and point it at whoever woke him up. "What the f- Oh, it's you."

It was one of the ghouls he assigned to keeping watch on comms. "Aye, cap'n. I just got an interestin' message. Some sort of distress beacon, I don't know." The ghoul said, obviously nervous. "Aye, let me take a look." Atlas would follow the ghoul and would listen in on the broadcast. He was confused at first, as it was just music, but then the voice of a woman was audible. Once the location was revealed, he immediately pointed at the location. "There." Of course, it was too dangerous to go on just a hunch. It was probably a trap, anyway. He had too be sure this was legit. Atlas picked up the microphone and began to speak in his raspy voice.

"Hello? Is this thing on? It is? Oh, good. Anyways, the names Atlas. I run a community called Haven, pleasure to meet ya. Enough with that crap, though. I got your broadcast, and I know where you are. I would be happy to welcome you into my fold, but I just don't give some random wanderers that gift. You all need to prove yourselves. So tell me, woman. Why should I help you?"

Brotherhood Outcasts

Elder Aleks listened intently to the radio message replaying, with music playing between the message, and then to the other broadcast. Thinking for a moment, he nodded to the radio operator, and waited for the signal to begin speaking. "To the woman broadcasting, as well as the gruff voiced man, I am pleased to hear other people have managed to establish radio operations. This gives me the confidence to announce our existence, and purpose in this wasteland. Many of you may know of the Brotherhood of Steel, but for those who don't please let me fill you in. The Brotherhood is a group that believes for the safety of everyone, and primarily themselves, they must control as much advanced technology as possible. Depending on the circumstances, they have been known to step on people to gain advanced technology. That is not to say they are a bad organization, just that they are less concerned with anyone who is not a brotherhood member. They do not protect others, unless it will benefit them, and give them access to advanced technology.

"We, are not the Brotherhood of Steel. We, are the Brotherhood Outcasts. Unlike the Brotherhood, our purpose in the wasteland is to protect the innocents of the wastelands. We stand against the legions of mutants that wish to slaughter every human they can find. We stand against the monstrosities of the wastelands, the radscorpions, the deathclaws, and other such creatures. We are constantly looking for recruits. We are not just a military organization, however. We have a place for most members of society. If you wish to come join us, and help protect the innocents of the wastelands, please, come join us. Our primary base of operations is the Hill Air Force Base, in Davis County, Utah.

And to the man who is requesting a meeting with us, we will happily comply, but not without conditions. Based on your signals origin, you seem to be somewhere to the north east of us. Send a group of representatives, no more than 30, and we will do the same. The meeting point will be in Montpelier, in Bear Lake County, Idaho. If those conditions are unacceptable... then it would seem you aren't as collected as you would like us to believe. Please, send your reply via radio."

Elder Aleks stepped down with a sigh, and headed back to his office. He pulled out a list of reports, and did a quick check. Radios were finished at both Union Station, and Marina Base, as well as Marina Base's wall. The [CLASSIFIED] was finished, and ready to added to every set of power armor. Elder Aleks made a note to have such done. He also sent a notice to authorize an operation to attempt to enter the bunker on Antelope Island.

F-Vaulters

"Hello, other wastelanders." Bon Bon responded through the radio tower, to both the Brotherhood Outcasts & Haven. "I am glad to see that there are other thriving communities in this world. I plan to ensure the safety and peace of our civilizations. I hope that we can all seek this peace in the same way, and I have the right way to accomplish this. Every faction that can hear me, please send representatives to our location, and we shall talk this out." Bon Bon backed away from the radio, a happy smile on her face as she turned to the others. She walked outside of the base, to see her faction thriving. Trusted civilians now had a pipe weapon of some sort, most being pistols. She exclaimed proudly to her people, "We have reached others, and they shall be coming to our land soon!" There was an uproar of cheer not long after she said this, some could even hear it miles away.

Not very soon after everyone was asleep, the radio had come alive again. Bon Bon spoke to only Atlas, leader of the Haven. "As I said earlier, please send your representatives to my location, and we shall sort the whole 'ally and helping each other' out thing when that happens." Bon Bon sighed out of relief, turning off the radio and moving the lay down somewhere for sleep.

SUPERNAS AMERICAE IMPERIUM

Within the battlefield of Seattle, Imperium Forces have acquired a temporary alliance with a few of the Mercenary Bands calling it home. The exchange of services for supplies adds to the certainty that a combined operation between the Mercs and the Imperium Legion will be capable of invading Seattle and conquer it in the name of civilization.

Deep within Seattle ISS Agents work as Bandits in disguise, make small efforts coordinating the Bandit Groups against the Super Mutant Factions while combat between the Mercs and Bandits is kept to a minimal.

Back within Vault 7 Scientist and Engineers make further progress on the the beginning series of projects ordered in by the Praetor. The Parallel Projects of Pip-Boy Radios and their Radio Booster counterpart equipment is theorized to give their military and scouts an unrivaled level of coordination in larger numbers. On the battlefield, such capabilities are invaluable.

At the outskirts of the Imperium, a small group gathers as they prepare for a long Expedition. There mission and travel destination is unknown.

To the Northern Province of the Imperium, within Port Angeles Military Experts and Engineers begin research and development of Modular Armor. The Theory is to create a standard base template for all Soldiers. The Base Armor is to serve as a template and be made to be easily modifiable for Variants such as Recon, Heavy, and more logistical variants. For now the Base Model is in planning and development.

The Haven

As soon as Atlas returned to Haven from his meeting with the Outcasts, he rallied 3000 of his best soldiers, all of which ghouls. 2000 of them were non-feral, and 1000 were. Atlas explained to him his plans: Assist the Outcasts in ridding Salt Lake City of Super Mutants. They all were excited to get down to the action, of course; apart from the ferals who were just trying to break out of their chains. They marched to Salt Lake City with haste. Within a few days, they reached the city and Atlas looked over to The Fighter, who was in charge of the military. "Send the ferals in," he said. The feral handlers came out of the army, their ferals all struggling to get out of their chains. Finally, the chains broke off, yet the ferals did not charge at the city. "Dammit! Get the handlers to stand behind the ferals and begin to march forward. Push them if need be. We need those ghouls in the city now!" The handles came forward once more and began to do as Atlas asked. One by one, the ghouls wandered into the city. "Sir, shall I send the rest of the army in?" The Fighter questioned. "Not yet, general. Let the ghouls have their fun with the Mutants. Send scouts out in an hour to see the result. Send a messenger to the Outcasts telling them that the ghouls have entered the city." Atlas responded. He stared at the city, waiting for the screams to begin.

TASKS:

1. Atlas and his army marched on Salt Lake City

2. 1000 feral ghouls entered the city. (MOD)
