The Heist of '55

11th of The Grand Harvest, 1555

Weeks of planning had gone into it. Prohan, leader of his family of homunculi, had spent weeks devising a plan to steal the enormous thanhium shard from the Library of Dragur.

But on that night, it finally happened. Karavin, Ioan, Prohan, Beta, and Ori. Five homunculi. Five thieves, now.

They gathered on a boat moored near Erochland to go over the plan.

Once they were there, the five robed homunculi proceeded to the lower level of the Library - to the sealed vault door of the thanhium laboratory. While the leader set the explosives to blow the door open, the others were met with Judas Agnarsson, a scholar of the Library. The homunculus Beta dealt with him swiftly, removing his arm. Nobody else bothered the homunculi for the rest of the heist. As the door was rent open and the thanhium lab was made accessible, the group proceeded to the locked laboratory doors - which Ioan made quick work of with a lockpick or two. Once they were in, they saw the shard; bigger than all of them together and suspended by many supports. Karavin destroyed one support, Prohan destroyed another, and the shard was able to be lifted free.

That's exactly what they did. The group, save for Beta, carried the great shard out of the laboratory, up the stairs, through the Library's main lobby, across the bridge, and to their boat, where they sailed back to Erochland.

The shard sits there, in their boat. They move the boat around so as not to freeze the water, and stay out of sight.

So occured the Great Library Heist of 1555.

Beta leaned back, a weary and cold smirk forming upon her lips. She had dealt with the mortal perfectly, yet she wondered if he was still alive. Shame, she was hoping to acquire some of his organs and use them for her own purposes. Nevermind, the chance would come again one day. For now, her eyes, one of a spider while the other a green one Prohan had taken from another, focused on the shard.

Today was a good day.

Prohan still is wearing the dark robes as they sail the oceans with the giant shard in the middle of the boat. The weeks of planning, the gathering of all resources, the minas, the study of the library rooms. The changes he made to the plan, over and over again. First there were no doors locking path to the laboratory. Easy to do everything, but he had no family to aid him still. Then locks were placed, a few lockpicks would do the trick. Then a room for decontaminations, which required a special key. After looking carefully at the key that Orithur and a necromancer used, he made a copy, and now he had a family to aid him. Yet, soon enough someone entered the lab by breaking the glass door, and it was replaced by something completely blocking the entrance, closed, no key would fit or open. Prohan had to find explosives...

After gathering quite a few of them, gathering a lot of lockpicks, making sure he had ways to defend himself by making a lot of alchemist's fire, and gathering his family to aid on the heist, all that was needed now was a good time. That time came with the start of the monk festival, everyone was there, no one was at the library. Only one librarian entered to find them all there, unlucky... for him. Got an arm cut, but survived, and everything else worked just as planned.

All that's left, is using the shard.

Ioan patted the robes he had fashioned for the heist, a look of victory encompassed his eyes as he continued the boat ride with Prohan. All was quiet except a single phrase he muttered to himself from time to time, "This is not... the end."

((Good post and all.. One problem though..))

You do know that the Library is on a lake with no sea access))

Rekt. Also, I don't care if you're homunculi; Thanhium should have frozen you solid or ganked you.

Also, GTFO the Event Roleplay forum. Your un-RP theft that breaks COMMON SENSE doesn't count as event.

((I did find that problem, then I noticed there were other boats docked by the library. They went much much further. Also nice find with the boat!

I did ask Wretched about that and I did think of other alternatives, but he gave me the go ahead to use a boat.))

Yea, boats docked there TO GET AROUND THE LAKE.

Too bad, Wretched didn't think it through. There's no way out of the lake. Your boat is currently in the lake.

I'll go ahead and put an MC representation of your boat in the lake so we can continue this. Thanks.

((Yea there are boats there that are built by Lorrinea the place above the Libarary, to be used in the lake and on the little river, not for travel to the sea though, seeing as there is no way to get to the sea.))

((I don't want to have a discussion in this thread. If you want to state that it couldn't happen, talk with Wretched, he allowed everything, and I did tell him exacly what my plans were. If we didn't leave by boat, we would leave by caravan to transport it somewhere else.

((The boat leads outside the place, I checked. Very far up north.))

(([Edit] Oh, they removed the boat, didn't know that. In spoiler images of the boat and where it lead to.))

((Tbh shouldnt be that big of an issue, if it absolutely needs to make sense, could they have not used a boat on the lake, then take a wagon over land to the open sea? Not that it actually matters))
