Act of the Imperial Spymaster

It has been sorely noted by the Imperial administration that the absence of an organ for dedicated and organized intelligence collection has worked to the detriment of realm peace and security. It is with this in mind that His Imperial Majesty the Emperor declares the position of Imperial Spymaster and the Office of Intelligence and Reconnaissance to be established in order to further assist the crown in endeavors of interest, both foreign and domestic, relating to the defense and safety of the Holy Orenian Empire.

 

The Office of the Imperial Spymaster shall be entrusted with numerous duties regarding the affairs of the Empire to further advance the prosperity of the realm, protect Imperial assets, and safeguard His Imperial Majesty’s policy and goals. These duties include, but are not limited to;

 

• Ensuring the safety of the realm before considerable threat has arisen
• Overseeing covert action and special operations in line with Imperial policy objectives
• Obtaining reliable and actionable intelligence of interest to His Imperial Majesty
• Belaying attempts at subversion by identifying enemies of His Imperial Majesty, both foreign and domestic
• Advising the most sublime Emperor, within the scope of Imperial intelligence, in regards to political matters
• Dismantling untruth and identifying additional information that may apply to the crown

 

Furthermore, the default powers of a privy council position are granted to the office of Imperial Spymaster as well as additional powers to aid him;

 

• The power to sit upon the Emperor’s privy council
• The power to style himself ‘His Excellency’, or simply ‘Imperial Spymaster’
• The power to guide Imperial informant networks and conduct covert action
• The power to request crown funding in endeavors that further the interest of the state
• The power to conduct minor military action in line with His Imperial Majesty’s foreign policy objectives
• The power to create a seal/signet that shows the individual is on the authority of the Imperial Spymaster

 

It is the will of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor that Ellis Wick be appointed to the position of Imperial Spymaster, for the indefinite future, to protect and serve the crown and His Imperial Majesty’s interests.
