With the envelopment broken, Indian troops, now accompanied by American soldiers, would move to the capital, Islamabad. Artillery would be firedinto the city to take out any troops. Civilian casualties were not a worry, not when those dying were Muslims and not Hindus. The infantry would slowly start occupying and searching the city, clearing out any Pakistani troops, while the armored units that remained would form a circle around the city to protect from any external attack. The American drones and Chinese bombers would be used to unleash hell on the city, their intention being to frighten troops into routing and breaking the city. [[MOD PLZ]]

All hell breaks loose within the city of Islamabad as thousands of Pakistanis are slaughtered on the streets of the capital. Certain sectors of the city are sealed off, but soon Indian forces overwhelm the Pakistani capital. As the Indian flag is planted on the rooftop of the Pakistani capital building, dozens of Indian soldiers comb the city in search of the leadership which has yet to been found. It is later discovered that the Pakistani leadership escaped, flying into Berlin via a private government jet. There the leadership hopes to gain asylum from the European Union and German governments. @Draeris

After an incredibly close election, the Pope edges out the incumbent Prime Minister, gaining control over the nations parliament. Several members of the Italian legislature move to block this action, viewing the move as an unlawful merge of church and state. Proponents of the Pope argue that there is no precedent for denying such an action by the Pope, and that very successful Popes have ruled over nations while acting as God's greatest voice on Earth.

WORLD EVENT
[this is for not making it to 20 pages by monday... the happening]

New York City: February 8th, 2022 - 9:00PM; "Squawk on the Street" Set

article-2286681-18604144000005DC-374_634

"Good morning everybody and welcome to a wonderful Wednesday here in the big apple! Markets are set to open in about 30 minutes and we have everything you need to know this morning in order to make the investments you need to succeed on Wall Street. This morning, we'll interview Apple CEO Tim Cook about the newest iMac computer as well as sit down with the President of Johnson & Johnson to discuss the state of the company.

Before all that though, let's give you all a quick update on what's happening around the world and how it will effect YOUR money. The Russian invasion of Eastern Europe has shaken stocks in the East and cracks are now forming all across the markets in Western Europe and East Asia. The new 'G.S.C.' has promised to counter this Russian aggression and the respective markets of those nations has taken a slight hit over the past couple days with many stock markets down several points. On the domestic front, a major purchase is likely looming between tech giant Google and a small start-up called "FlyAuto," a group serious about building affordable flying cars that run without gasoline.

Anyway, let's get on with the show. Here's Larry in an exclusive sit down interview with Tim Cook!"

For decades people have been asking us to expand across the country and now, by becoming a public com-" A massive horn blares all across the trading floor. Men and women in suits all over the building stop in their tracks, turning to the gigantic screens overhead which flash bright red.

The single worst day in the modern history of the stock market. Worse than the crash in 2008 that spiraled the global economy into a recession that nearly took a decade to recover from. How had this happened? Experts decades from now would chalk it up to a few things, but primarily the looming threats of war, a general lack in confidence, and reckless irresponsibility on all sides.

The Days that Follow - February-March 2022

Millions of people in the United States would lose their savings once again, and similar situations were erupting all across the globe. The United States was simply the first to fall to a crash. Soon after markets opened in Europe the next day, the crashes began there. This rippled across the Urals and into Asia where the Chinese, Japanese, and Indochinese markets all crashed in similar fashion. It was truly a terrible couple of weeks as economic confidence and stability was devastated just as it seemed everybody was getting back up on their feet. What the future held was uncertain, but one thing was certain: the world was changing.

-----

Fallout - The United States

Following the crash, thousands of protests swept across the United States with hundreds of arrests being made as a result of a dramatic response to the crash. Suicide rates nearly doubled in the country, and voices of dissent were never louder. The Right and Far Left, looking for a scape goat, immediately turned to the one, looming giant that towered over the US economy: China.

A storm of angry protests began on the steps of the capital, often with conservative and radical left wing groups coming together in unison to protest both the Warren AND Trump administration's continued cooperation with China even after many believed it to be a doomed deal. The American people outright questioned Warren: "You ran against working with China, opposite to Donald Trump, but instead you enter us into yet another economic and political union with them? You violated madame President, you violated by betraying the roots of your platform by continuing to work with China."

Rumblings over armed insurrection in the South against the Warren presidency could not be ignored as military bases were found to be vandalized and in some extreme cases, molotov cocktails were thrown over the walls of these bases. It was certainly a volatile time in the nation, and Chinese hate was at an all time high. In times of uncertainty, politicians and groups in power will always look to a scapegoat, and none was easier to manufacture in the United States than the Communists in the Orient.

Fallout - Europe

With war erupting in the East, many there were far too distracted to worry about the crashes. In Ukraine especially, where poverty was already rampant after the civil war and nearly every male had secure employment: the armed forces, the effects of the crash were negligible. Instead, it was felt in a different way. In Belarus, Romania, Moldova, and the Ukraine, millions were beginning to starve as grain exports from the west came to a slow halt. What little aid religious organizations and charity groups could provide was simply not enough and soon millions all across the European east were starving.

Russia was no exception to this as millions of Russians in the west began to protest, sparking what would later be known as
"The Bread Riots" which featured organized marches unlike anything the state had ever scene. Members of the armed forces even openly protested, going so far as to refuse to serve if their families were not provide for in the form of food. Inflation in the country, and the rest of the European east, was simply to high and bread and other commonplace food items were far too expensive for the average Eastern European family.

The European Union, what remained of it anyway, saw insurrections in their integrated territories with Far Left Marxist groups claiming that the European Union was a rich man's coalition and that it was simply another way for the wealthy of Europe to break the proletariat. Soon, Communist protests and uprisings were flaring up all across Germany, Austria, Croatia, and the Netherlands. Far Right nationalist groups were also gaining some ground, demanding a return to an era of sovereign nation states, however these voices were largely drowned out by the Communists within the European Union.

Switzerland, France, Poland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Scandinavian Union and other G.E.C powers all faced similar crisis as their populations were ravaged by hyper-inflation as a result of the market crash and a fall in grain supply across the continent. Combined with the embargoes conducted by the EU and Russia, inflation was ridiculously out of hand and soon riots similar to those within Russia were occurring. The European Union also became a scapegoat in most of these nations, with Far Right parties gaining traction within the non-integrated European nations. This was in response to wave of Marxism within the EU, as well as a desire to capitalize on what many believed to be the fall of globalization.

Fallout - The Far East and Australia

In China, protests were brutally put down as thousands attempted to take to the streets in response to the crash. The initial Chinese response to the crisis was harsh, with an immediate shutdown of the Shanghai Stock Exchange and a move to cutoff ties with the West until the market stabilized. However, this proved to not be effective and soon the markets, as well as diplomatic channels, reopened. Many within the Chinese public were deeply offended by the words of hate spewing out of the American 'ally' and many, including those within the inner-circle of the Communist party, demanded an ended to all foreign relations with the capitalist pigs.

In Thailand, Japan, and Korea, protests erupt as the military and the public clash openly. In Thailand, the people blame the military government, demanding a return to democratic processes and a restoration of the people's rights. The Japanese people respond by blaming the increased openness of the Japanese government and, more peacefully than others, petitions the government to server most diplomatic ties that are non-essential to the nation's economy at large.

The Oceanic Union sees increased traction in the opposition party as a population already enraged with the actions of Tony Abbot only grows more enflamed. The opposition begins to poll far above any of the pro-government parties, and rallies are held all across the country to gather support against the current Prime Minister. The Turkish see similar responses with opposition against Erogdan at an all time high and protests for increased democratic rights erupting in the streets of Ankara and Istanbul.

Fallout - Africa

The new U.A.F faces its first test of true instability as markets all over Africa crash. Their efforts outside of West Africa to encourage integration lose nearly all traction. The floor of the African Union erupts into accusations of recklessness on the side of the U.A.F who other sovereign African nations blame for causing in part some of the global instability that started the crash.

CHINA

With the Chinese markets closed the politburo holds the largest meeting in over 50 years all 500 delegates and secretary, ministry staff and economic advisers enter Zhongnanhai (Chinese communist meeting place sorta like the capitol building) The doors are locked and the Chinese begin to sort **** out. China immediately halts research and construction on major government projects such as the new Z-44 carrier until further notice. The billions being spent on those begin to be distributed to various ministries to carry out their tasks and provide services to the people. The Government begins to inject money into the Chinese stock market as the inflation laws are adjusted to make sure companies do not soar the prices of essential goods, and gasoline.

Chinese economists begin working on plans to recover the market as china stops launches into space for the time being.

The Chinese people may have to go without luxuries for a few years, but China was determined to follow the USSR's footsteps in the 1929 market crash in an attempt to keep china rolling.

VATICAN CITY

Having gained control of Italy just in time to be hit with a major economic crisis, the Pope scrambles to provide aid to his people. The pope appoints secretaries to handle the majority of his business, and begins publicly working at a soup kitchen. He urges all good Catholics to do the same. He continues construction on the farmlands, and encourages the poor, needy, or homeless to work in them, supplying more food for the country. Since they already have almost no millitary spending, much of Italy's treasury is spent on attempting to keep food supplies and the economy up. ((POK TELL ME HOW IM DOING))

Imperial Japan

Spoiler

Prime Minister Gen Nakatani left from his domicile in the early morning of mid-April, the ripe season in which Cherry Blossoms begin their bloom. He began his average morning routine, firstly he made his call to his Defense Minister to discuss details of Japan’s air space and seas and then after finished begins a light jog before heading to work.

His jog finished at the steps to a temple within Shobi park, aged steps which no man could know would about to become a part of Japan’s Immortalized History. A eager Japanese student ran to the Prime Minister and asked for a picture, the PM relented and accepted. As the ‘student’ went to withdraw his phone he instead gave a harsh shove to the Prime Minister. As the stunned PM gaze shifted to the student then his single security detail he saw a garrote wound tight about the security guard’s neck. Eight men withdrew from near the steps bearing clubs, cleavers, and Tantos and began to savagely hack the Prime Minister until little remained recognizable.

The news of the brutalistic assassination quickly spread throughout the nation, the whole nation entering shock. The National Diet calling an emergency session to discuss who shall be given emergency power and what will happen.

A modified SH-60J/K Seahawk, a Japanese maritime version of the American Blackhawk, retrofitted with .50 Caliber mounted gun positions on its side doors lifted off with traditional Japanese lettering forming the word ‘Kamikaze’ was slathered to one of the gunner doors, meaning ‘Divine Wind’. The pilots and gunners of the craft are still unknown, and how they obtained the Helicopter also unknown. What is known is the place they carved into history books.

The National Diet to ease the public made a display of defiance to the terrorists as they make red carpet-esque walk into the assembly hall to show they do not fear brutal thugs, sadly their bout of pride and fearlessness would betray them. The near silent SH-60J/K Seahawk strayed over the city and ended its journey in front of the assembly hall. The live broadcasts all switched in horror to the helicopter interrupting the national event. All live recordings cut off as the gunner side door opened in the Seahawk and the .50 Cal. opened fire into the crowd, specifically towards members of National Diet. The horror ending as both .50 cals ran out of ammunition and the helicopter rammed itself into the assembly hall detonating a mass of explosives within it. Nearly the entirety of the assembly collapsed, and killed or severely injured most inside. The National Diet and the Japanese Prime Minister were either all dead, or in hiding.

The nation entered complete and utter turmoil with the military declaring martial law, with so many of the government dead major riots erupt throughout Tokyo and major cities. As the riot police crackdown the nation desperately look for someone to take charge, the one whom stepped up to the task being Emperor Naruhito three days after the riots began. Whom quickly began to establish order and visit the protestors in various cities, not with a horde of police but alone. He sincerely talked with the Japanese people and slowly talked them down the best he could.

Within two days of Naruhito’s taking of command he and his staff were able to capture the men involved with the series of terrorist attacks and assassinations and were found to be made up of, former members of the North Korean Military, Russian Ultra-Nationalists within Japan, and disgruntled Japanese Soldiers. The Japanese people were in an uproar for their immediate prosecution, and harsh justice for the murder of Gen Nakatani and slaughter of the National Diet.

The Criminals were given no jury and brought to the Imperial Palace of Tokyo, and amongst a large rally of infuriated Japanese discarding rubbish and rotten food at the criminals on their knees in front of the gate. The crowd was hushed when a Japanese Officer worked his way down the line of criminals, beheading each with a aged Katana before moving to the next. Japanese nationalism boomed as praise flooded blindly for the Emperor and his swift justice of the murders of the beloved Prime Minister.

In addition to the swift prosecution and beheading of the prisoners, at the request of the Japanese people, and formal petition, Japan enters near complete economic isolation and only keeping needed major trade ties. All other trade pacts are unceremoniously ended. Production slows to a grind throughout Japan and the drastic decision of isolation becalms the people but cripples many production lines and formerly great markets within Japan. Faith in the Emperor being the only thing holding the lightly bound nation together. The Emperor assuring his people that Japan will make it through as long as the nation stays strong and confident.

The Constitution of Japan is discarded to a museum in Kyoto, and the government goes through complete re-working in favor of a government similar to that of the one before end of World War 2. A government hailed as one made by the Japanese and one in support of the Japanese. That now was when Japan truly united in its hardships as a people.

The nation of Japan is re-formed and is re-forged into its once castaway name, Imperial Japan.

Military

  • Able bodied soldiers are rallied from military bases in addition to a mass conscription effort on the Home Islands based on the peak point of nationalism in the country, the veterans recalled from the ending Paki-Indian conflict,  when freed up Marines in Far-East are recalled alongside a fifth of Japanese forces stationed in Korea, and the most elite brigades of the Japanese Paratroopers recalled. They all are re-located to Kyushu where they begin training exercises. The veterans aiding in teaching the less experienced troops from Home Island bases and fronts.

  • The Japanese Navy would surge homeward if there was an establishment of naval supremacy over Russian maritime waters. To begin re-fittings and to be repaired from any damage sustained in combat with Russian maritime defenses.

  • Imperial Japanese soldiers not recalled from garrison and pushes not needing full Japanese forces continue their surge into Russia alongside the Asian Coalition forces.

Civil

  • A massive surge of propaganda floods throughout Japan as subtle brainwashing of the populace begins to boost ultra-nationalism for Japan and the Emperor even more so.

Financial

  • All military research projects are halted and the funding redistributed to support the Japanese economy and people.

  • Captured North Korean and outdated Japanese Military Equipment is sold en masse to any country willing to purchase the goods, be it less than legal recipients or not. The nation of Japan simply looking a for a large injection of money to aid the nation. [Mod Plz]

Though their efforts of the Italians do some good, keeping the people fed at least. A widespread return to faith begins within Italy as thousands who once abandoned church so they could keep partying through Saturday night began attending mass (though many would say because it's simply something to do that doesn't cost any money, something they need in a time of such crisis).

CHINA

The Keynesian approach taken by the Chinese appeared to be working for a little while as stocks within the state began to stabilize, though prices did not increase and entered a period of near complete stagnation. Growth within the country, which prior to the crash was sky-rocketing, continued to fall at a terrible rate. For the first time in recent memory, Chinese growth, in the form of GDP, was actually going negative.

United States of America

President Warren slams the phone down on her desk and lets out a long string of colorful language, uncharacteristic of the usually charismatic and joyful president. But in this case it was excusable. Riots breaking out over the country, starvation, anger and fear.. what a mess. She sighed, and picked up her telephone again, making a few phone calls to do what she could to help her country.

Actions:

The US immediately withdraws all active military personnel from Europe and the war on Russia and bringing them back home. The US also formally exits the GSC and GSA and President Warren vows not to make the same mistake again, though there is much debate over which mistake she was referring to.

The Warren administration doubles down and initiates the "All In" program, which requires people receiving homelessness checks to do community service. This should keep the recession from falling too deeply as homelessness is no longer incentivized and people are forced to do work in return for their welfare checks. The program causes rumbles of anger among the American populace but it is not drastic and the program seems to be running smoothly, though it is yet to be seen if it will truly help anything.

The CAJSP still exists, but all funding to it disappears and it quietly evaporates away, both from lack of funding and from the anti-China sentiment. The Mars program is put on hold for a lack of funding for an indefinite project. It seems that Mars will not be colonized any time soon.

The US halts construction on the Aries-115 Weaponized Space Shuttle is halted, as is construction on the 2 Barack Obama-class Aircraft Carriers, the type-36 Body Armor, and the type-97b anti-aircraft. All the money from these projects was poured into various departments to try to alleviate the pain of the crash on the already-floundering American economy.

CHINA

With stocks beginning to stabilize and prices remaining low allowing the common folk to live life normally. For the first time in a few weeks the members of the government breathed a sigh of relief. For the time being the country was in no immediate danger. China had enough money to keep government programs going for the next year or so before it would run out of money. China began to work on running a surplus GDP as soon as possible. China slowly began to ease back its community projects while in their spare all government officials are required to complete the standard 2 hours of community service outside their regular job. Same as the rest population. Soldiers begin to work on public works projects.

China begins to contact

The Republic of Turkey

Panic and destruction is all that ran threw Ankara, the streets were filled with it. Local business aflame, cars tipped over in the street. Highways shut down in protest for larger civil rights. Many had elected President Tandon for that reason, yet many were still upset at the government for allowing Erdogan to stay in power for so long. Tandon and his Cabinet had drafted a Bill of Rights to say. One that would give the people basic rights that may not be taken away from them it was loosely based off the American Bill of Rights bar the 2nd Amendment. This bill however, would take time to be put in effect. Riots and Protest were expected to continue until the bill was fully in effect. Police and national guardsmen had be deployed the cities heavily effected by the riots to hopefully disperse them. Non-lethal force would be used, the only lethal force if the men were shot at.

Minor Event

[non-respondable as that would be Meta]

As chaos erupted across the globe and millions cried out against the failures of globalization and neo-imperalism, a nondescript white truck rolled slowly down a poorly kept road in the middle of Kazakstan. After a few miles of moving along the road, the truck suddenly veered off-road, pushing its way through the dirt and gravel towards an assembled group of four European men. The truck rumbles to a halt as a group of six Pakistani men, clearly military, or former military, leap out of the truck. One of the European men steps forward:

"Search them, make sure there's no wires. Then I want you to search the truck, make sure there's no cameras. If anything fishy is in there, the deal is off."

For a tense few minutes, two of the Europeans carefully pat down the Pakistani men before moving into the car, drawing MP5s as they search the dashboard of the truck, and then lift the shutter from the back of the cargo bed. One of the men immediately grins, poking his head back around the side of the truck to the presumptive leader of the group. He immediately holds a thumbs up to the ground and the leader smiles, looking to the Pakistanis.

"Well, you fuckin' did it. Impressive. I don't want to know how, but you folk are fuckin' brilliant. Thank you boys, the service you have done to the world will go down in history."

After these words were spoken, the fourth man steps forward raising a M4 up to his hip, pointing it at the six men. The leader smiles, shrugging his shoulders.

"Sorry lads, no loose ends."

The muzzle flashed in the hot sun as bullets leaped off the rocks after passing through the bodies of the Pakistani men. In a matter of seconds, every single one was dead and only the four Europeans remained. The two who stood before the bodies carefully stepped over them, moving to the back of the truck with the other pair. Wide smiles crept over the faces of all the men as they looked upon the haul resting upon the cargo bed.

"Boys, we're about to change the world."

Resting quietly in the back of the truck were 9 armed Pakistani nuclear warheads, rushed out of the country in the chaos that was the Indian invasion. Sold on the black market, they were now in the hands of a mysterious terror organization that the world doesn't even known exists. Yet.

In the Ocean all ships are told to fall back to the shoreline and stay near their port, where they can receive aerial support. They do not dare leave more then fifty miles for shore, and are only defending

The Russian forces fall back from the border to more strategic locations, ranging from 10-50 miles from the border. The 10,000 new tanks are a huge boom to the war effort as the divisions are able to strengthen key locations all around Russia. Russia does its best with air superiority as they have a massive amounts of anti-air defense systems scattered about Russia. Fighters make non stop patrols around Moscow in a hope to stop a single bomb from landing in the city. Outside of the city Russia fights tooth and nail not wanting to give an inch in the battle for air superiority

The War in Russia
- State of the Conflict -

WiJFxrc.png

Even as the world starved and shook with the uncertainty of economic instability, war raged in the East. Russia faced invasion from both sides and found itself sandwiched between two mighty enemies. The withdraw of the American forces did a number to wound the strength of the alliance as Britain essentially fought alone with boots on the ground inside Russia. The British soon found themselves bogged down in the Crimea, and even more so once the Russians withdraw from Ukraine. The Russians manage to wrestle air superiority in the region and the British fleet cannot get through the Bosporus without permission from the Turks. The British soon find themselves smashed between a Russian army advancing from the West and another moving rapidly to defend from the East. The majority of their expeditionary force ends up trapped in the port of Sevastopol, and the Russians need only move to completely crush the force - if the British don't withdraw.

The Ukrainians cannot mount a realistic offensive as their numbers are mostly inferior to that of the Russians and their equipment cannot match up to that of the Russians. As a result of this inferiority, a sort of staring match begins all along the Ukrainian-Russian border, with no real action taking place.

In the Far East, the Sino-Japanese-Indian-Korean offensive makes great gains but soon gets bogged down as it reaches the permafrost of Siberia. Most of their equipment is not prepared for the bitter cold, and neither are their men. Even with modern technology and provisions, frostbite and hypothermia still ravage the advancing forces as they march onward. The Russians, masters of their own terrain, move in ways that the Asian forces cannot anticipate and soon find themselves locked out of Siberia. A line is soon established from the Pacific to the Mongolian border along the steppe. Though the Asians rule the sky, their command of the ground is beginning to fall apart and anti-air emplacements established by the Russians since the beginning of the Cold War rip apart allied air operations to the point that the Russians begin to win some confrontations in the air. Oil fields are still maintained by the Russians and Moscow goes relatively untouched as it lies well out of range of the Asian forces.

Thailand/Indochinese League

Domestic Governance

The Military Junta of Thailand had come across its first challenge to its leadership in almost a decade, the economic issues in the Country being blamed on the Army. The Generals and Officers grew concerned fearing that their days in power may be at an end, however King Rama came up with a suitable solution. Over the course of many months the King of Thailand arranged negotiations with many of the leaders of the democratic protests who wanted to see democracy restored to Thailand.

The Solution ended up being a power sharing deal with the Military and the Democratically Elected Officials. The Military itself remaining loyal to the King of Thailand and having its oversight being an appointed commission that the King chooses personally rather than the elected Government overseeing the Military arm of the Country. It seemed to have settled the wants and needs for an elected Government and it was done in a quick and timely fashion, ensuring not too many working days were lost due to the protests and strikes.

During this time the Thai Government while essentially leading the Indochinese League moved to integrate the other Countries in the League to Federalize further, albeit in a democratic way to not lose the support of the people in these Countries. The Military might of the League began working together, each army in each Country now following a doctrine of training and equipment set forth by the Thai Military in close conjunction with the Vietnamese Military.

Diplomatic actions

Laos is officially invited to join the Indochinese League to finally fully unify Indochina on the worldwide stage.

All Trade Agreements are negotiated and accepted if offered, the Thai set forth a policy that trade is to be negotiated with automatically when offered.

Military Actions

The Indochinese Military at this point is equipped with up to date weaponry and is fully modernized in equipment, structure and organization capabilities.
