So recently my character was attacked in a tavern by an orc. I understand they're supposed to be brutish warriors, but I'm personally done with humans and orcs being seven feet tall and incredibly muscular. It really takes away from the experience.

 

Now, some of you may know me and some of you may not. I'm a relatively new player (almost a year) and I already feel that I have a good understanding of the server, its community and the way it's run. However, in this case, I just feel violated and angry. A player some of you may know (you'll know who you are, no need for names.) was one of the aforementioned seven foot tall muscular brutes. Now, I understand that I may be taking this too far, but this was just stupid. Not only was he being cruel and rude to me OOCly, but someone else (you'll know who you are,) aided him, solely for the reason that I called him out for being an annoying memer OOCly. (Edit)To add, after I was killed, he didn't give me the courtesy of using my soulstone. Oh, no. He made me use d40. D effing forty. Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with meming, but it can be a serious problem. For example, I ran into an elf dressed as a clock carrying a bag of soap attacking people in Felsen. When attacked, he said that the blade went right through him, then voided 5 minutes or RP. I hate this kind of memer. It's one thing to do it and be ******* annoying, but it's a whole other thing to void it all and be a **** OOCly. Another problem I want to address is, as I mentioned a second ago, being a **** OOCly. It's simple. Don't do it. Don't be cocky like that. No one likes it. Anyhow, I may take a break from LOTC. I would love for you to comment if you agree with me.

I'm not sure a thread like this was needed but I'll give my view and insight.

 

Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the roleplay you were talking about (but did see your modreq, unfortunately was busy with a previous modreq). Ultimately, if someone is just being a **** to you out-of-character just to... well, be a ****, then you can either message a mod directly or post a ban report. Harassment ain't cool, that's basically my #1 rule: don't be a ****. In-character is obviously another matter entirely and I won't be commenting on that. 

 

I'm not sure this thread is going to help things too much, unfortunately. If you feel as if what happened is worth of a ban report, go ahead- but a thread like this is only going to incite others to tease you or stir up drama of some sort. It's best to speak with a mod directly or file a ban reports. Threads like this just stir up trouble.

I feel like making a ban report wouldn't be worth anything and would stir up more trouble. While I am annoyed, at least one of the people involved I knew and respected as a good roleplayer most of the time.

You just described what orcs are. That's part of the curse. Humans, on the other hand.. sometimes. Usually not.

Well, as always, if the trouble persists, don't be afraid to make a report or contact a mod. Sometimes all you really need to do is message someone and be like: "dude, quit ******* around please, you're making this less fun for myself and other people here".

I don't know if you are aware of this but orcs are lorewise very very tall and well built, so 7 feet tall for an orc is not a very tall orc, infact it could be construed as a short orc actually

I understand your frustration but forum posts aren't the way to handle situations like this. If people are clearly out to bully you and ruin your day OOCly, then take screenshots of your entire interaction with them and PM a staff member or file a ban report using the correct format. I guarantee you that's the best way to get things done.

Faiz consistently mocks Zhulik's Jewish heritage because Faiz is a Palestinian. He is often found making remarks which state the reason Jews don't eat pork is because it'd be cannibalism. Zhulik nearly downed a bottle of Windex on cam if it weren't for me talking him out of it. Cyberbullying isn't nice, and I would know considering Zhulik in fits of rage says that I don't deserve the right to vote because I'm a woman and Slavic.
