The capital of the ducal demesne of Haense, St. Karlsburg acts as the epicenter of administrative and diplomatic affairs of the duchy, and vastly populated by the nobles and burghers of Haense descent. Aside of its servitude to the owning Barbanovic family,  it also serves as the seat for the military order of the Golden crow. A worthy metropolis for the august Barbanov dynasty.

I.Interior notables

 

The Castle of Ottosgrad is the home of the Barbanovic family, and has stood in the wake of many aggressions and conflicts in this relatively young realm.  While shaped as a pragmatic yet extravagant construct, Ottosgrad is the symbolic heart of the united north.

 

The Tavern of Tales and Ale is the new festive establishment in town, led by the two brothers of the brotherhood: Aramis Northbroek and William of Haense.  Renowned for its fine beverages and visitors, the tavern guarantees an eventful time to remember!

 

II. The Founding Philosophy

 

In the shadow of the division in the post Aesterwaldian era, it was the righteous northerner Karl Barbanov that took it upon himself to found the greater city of Siegrad despite the ongoing decay in the northern realm.

 

Siegrad was, in many aspects, the physical embodiment of a dream of unification and solidarity between the northern peoples that once resided there. Karl’s envisionment of the north led to the steady cooperation with other kinsman, and charted the Raevir people back onto the Imperial map to august leadership and righteousness.

 

Such grand character is held in remembrance through St. Karlsburg, a city constructed upon a similar philosophy of unity and brotherhood.  It is meant to be a city of all men, a warm home under the wings of the Barbanov House.

 

With the unparalleled northern spirit of freedom and endurance present in the very fiber of each brick and citizen, St. Karlsburg truly stands out as a construct on its own.  It is hoped that its name shall echo through the pages of history to come, as the north has finally restored its dominion over its own legacy.

 

III. Governance & Institutions

 

The Barbanovic have delegated many functions to the finest of northerner men to run their private demesne for them.  For they carry responsibilities that transcends their personal reign in St. Karlsburg, the following government is established:
