The Day that the Mountains Shook

 

 

 

 

 

Taken by surprise, the group of Dwed looked to the skies and grasped at their ears. An explosion and mighty boom ripped through the air, followed by flaming chunks of rock and magma. The sky began to darken from the spewing smoke and soon the magma began to flow, emerging from the depths of that volcanic mountain.

 

 

What followed though, could never be described as natural in occurrence. A primordial scream ripped through the air and found its origin within the volcano. The feminine voice screeched more and more, echoing around the valley in passionate throes.

 

Venturing up to the Volcano’s summit, and basking in the great heat, the group looked for clues. Instead, they were faced with a bubbling pit of magma that spewed more than just molten rock. Groups of fire imps materialized from the bubbling pits, jumping and flinging balls of fire at the group. Not to be taken seriously however, the imps were quickly defeated by a well placed arrow. The group however, descended the mountain to assist in the containment of the flowing magma.

 

Deep beneath, in the roads that tunneled through every land, something had changed. The volcano had broken a seal, and desire swept in waves through into this world.
