Hello everyone!

 

My name's Qwhxrty. Feel free to pronounce that however you would like, I'll probably never correct you.

 

I saw this server a few days ago and I've decided that, yes, I do have enough time to play around with it. It looks fun.

 

Don't read into that sentence. It was innocent.

 

So, with any luck, you'll probably see an app from me sometime in the near future. I want to look into the races a bit more before making a real decision since it looks like once you pick it's pretty concrete. Thought I might enjoy putting something down here though just to see who bites.

At this point I'm probably going to play a child - just because then I won't feel quite as bad asking questions during roleplay - since the child probably wouldn't know. If I play as an adult character I would feel like... an idiot asking, even though it makes sense for me as the player to ask the question.

Someone mentioned you can't apply as a child character, that is correct but nobody said you had to play the character you applied with—the app process just shows us you're competent. Have fun!

Culturally speaking, yes, however elves reach physical maturity (adulthood) at the same time as other races, at the age of eighteen.

Aaah, alright I see. So I would need to apply for an adult character, but I could play a child afterwards? Am I understanding that right? Could I at least apply with my character as an adult but then downgrade them to a child once I am actually on the server?

You can play a completely different character to what you apply in as, it's merely so the application team can know you understand what is needed to create a character and follow lore. So, if you get accepted and join, you could just place your character as twelve, however I highly advise playing an adult character to get used to the server as it's a little difficult starting out as a child when you're new. Feel free to ask any more questions.
