Wandering into the Veris square, the high elf’s eyes shift around, eyeing the people present, scrutinising each one before stepping up onto the fountain ledge, her cold grey stare fixing on to the crowd gathered, “As you may know, your leader, Kalalian Thylsealaes is no longer around, I myself, as his sister do not know where he is or what he has been up to.”

“With no leader we would inevitably fall, being claimed by a larger nation or becoming ruins, this is where I come in. I received a letter not even a day ago from who you follow as ruler here in Veris, my brother, Kalalian. He has given full leadership to me. I am to resume what he started.”

“I was here during Veris’ starting steps and I hope to see it through until Veris is what my Brother strove for, a nation or a bustling city at the least.”

“If you were placed upon the council by my brother, contact me in the coming weeks to be considered in the reforming council.”

“I leave you here as Ellie, your leader.” She smiles, stepping off of the fountain ledge and beginning to walk off, “If you have any other questions or problems, send a bird with a letter attached by me.” She says, briefly turning around before resuming her retreat back to helping with us construction of Veris.

An eyebrow is raised by a young woman as a merchant speaks of a speech told in the land of Veris as he unloads his ship.

 

 

"So...let me get this straight. This person admits to not knowing where their brother is, what they're doing, or anything about them at the beginning of their speech. But then just moments later, they say they received a letter from this brother, the SAME person they just admitted to having no information about, that says they're now in charge."

 

She looks dumbfounded for a moment.

 

"And people bought this?"
