Clarity on my removal

I have recently been removed from the ET, there was no explanation given to either my team lead nor myself personally. I can understand why, given my past actions, it hasn’t come as much of a surprise. However, what I am concerned about and which really upsets me is the lack of clarification in the process of my removal.

 

I was graciously given another chance by Sky, who said he would monitor my performance on the team with the aid of his managers. This is precisely why it makes me sad that my removal came without allowing Sky to have a say in the matter. In fairness, I understand your obligation to make the server better, however Sky is the ET lead and should have been allowed a say.

 

In this process I have also been given a blacklist, which I had done nothing currently to warrant it. If it was due to my past actions, I don’t understand why it wasn’t given to me then, as opposed to after I have been accepted as an ET. More important, I have been given zero explanation on why the blacklist was issued, via public or private statements.

 

If the Administration promise to bring communication and clarity to the playerbase, I don’t understand the reason for both my removal and blacklist, without taking the small amount of time necessary to properly inform me or my team lead. This is a directly opposing response to what the Administration have promised in the past.

 

Just as with the paradoxical nature of permanent bans, where virtually anyone eventually comes back, I can understand the set law, yet the actual enforcement flies over my head. Even now the lower, middle and higher elements of the staff contain members permanently banned, permanently blacklisted, or slapped with equally restrictive punishments. Why is it, then, that a person with zero restriction is forcibly removed from a team, where he might further prove his rehabilitated state, with no explanation? If the staff is ever to be taken seriously in both their punishments and general actions, they must learn to acquire a degree of consistency, else the picture exhibited is one of extreme nepotism and disregard for the very rules they use to remove players from their medium.

 

Before you make a judgement like this in the future, it would be best to inquire with the team lead, conducted through methods like asking them why they brought someone on the team. In my instance I am extremely eager to redeem myself and to actually provide good quality builds and events for the community. This has always been my intention, and these intentions have been shown to consistently not contain nepotism or abuse of responsibilities. Sky saw my merits and decided to give me a chance. If you had spoken with Sky, or even myself,  before coming to this conclusion things might have turned out quite different, with no need to even make a post such as this.

 

If it is plausible I would like to commune with an active Administrator to try and come to some form of agreement for me to re-obtain my position. During my brief stay with the Event Team I was both active and did my job well enough; in short, I built what was asked and followed the rules. If this relates to how I have acted out on the forums then that can obviously be quelled to prevent future strife. Furthermore, the ordeal that transpired with Luv and I was a personal quarrel and I felt baited into the situation - Luv and I have always had our own qualms. Admittedly, it shouldn’t have transpired through the ET chat and I apologized profoundly to the respective management at the time.

 

I believe that if my time spent in the ET was well enough, with Sky being able to see past my wrongdoings and provide me with the merit for my prowess on the ET - to which I was inducted for - then I should be granted that opportunity. It’s downright insulting for a blacklist to be put on me months after the ordeal, and if it happens for me, then it should apply to the rest of the community, individuals who have done far worse but are still applicable for staff teams, many of which currently reside on the staff.

 

The lack of communication here is extremely prevalent and it’s a detriment to the Administration Team and their desire to progress, you have proven, yet again, your inability to properly communicate with myself or the team lead correlating to this ordeal - if he wanted me on the team and there was no prior blacklist, then that is not his fault nor mine. That is on the Administration Team and should not be transgressed to this current state, especially if I’ve proven myself to Sky or the managerial team.

 

Although, throughout this post, I have undoubtedly given off an air of aggravation and frustration, what I intend to express here is an understanding on the aspect of change. I believe strongly in the ability for a person to change, and even see myself as an example of this. I feel that many staff, past and present, have rehabilitated themselves and now serve as functional and positive elements on various teams. All I ask is that you examine my situation with a lens of openness, and truly take a moment to consider if I have changed. Ultimately, all opposing parties on this server want things to be fun, prosperous and generally active. Through my builds and events this is exactly what I wish to do, and feel therefore we should be able to work together, and even supplement each other nicely.

This can't have been from the Luv issue considering if anyone bothered to talk to the managers who had dealt with that issue and thusly had Luv removed (i.e, Aerial or myself), they'd have found out that Luv clearly started the situation by troll baiting and was just as insulting and disrespectful as Gucko.

 

Seeing as I haven't been spoken to and I doubt Aerial has, I hope this removal and "blacklist" wasn't due to the situation all things considered.

Old wounds will never heal if you continue to look at things in an 'us vs them' mentality. The staff should be about capability, and you know that Guck is capable in builds. If his demeanor has changed and if the actual ET lead feels he is not compromising his ability to lead or his team's ability to function, the higher staff should not be stepping in.

Through actions like this you only perpetuate further unnecessary conflict, all the while the server is becoming more stagnant.

I honestly haven't been contacted. Guck's been a very proficient worker in the past so I'm confused on his removal if not outright confounded by the incompetency of whoever had him hastily removed despite the fact he did nothing wrong during his present tenure.

We can speak about it on the thread. If you wanted to discuss this and communicate, you could've done so before stripping me of PEX and making Sky have to PM me saying how I was removed by the admins and that he had no say in it.

The best way to take power from someone trying to divert the thread's topic is to not give their comment the benefit of a reply. There's no sense in arguing about it when we have an opportunity here to fix a real wrong.
