Oren the brave

Let Sutica boast of her gay gilded waters,
Her trees and her lakes and her soft sunny skies,
Her sons drinking love from the eyes of her daughters,
Where druids dance amid softness and sighs.

Oren's grey towers tall where cities are built,
Towering in grandeur are the gates,
Land of god land of the war horns loud,
Land of the brave and proud, land of the human.

Enthroned on the peak of her own towers ,
The spirit of Horen reigns fearless and free,
Her banner waving o'er battle field and fountain,
And proudly she sings looking over the town.

Here among my duchies loyal I have serenely smiled,
When armies and orcs against me were hurled,
Firm as my native rock I have withstood the shock,
Of Dwarves, of elves, of orcs and the world.

But see how proudly her war steeds are prancing,
Deep groves of steel trodden down in their path,
The eyes of my sons like their bright swords are glancing,
Triumphantly riding through ruin and death.

Bold hearts and gleaming helmets wave o'er their bloody tombs,
Deepeyed in glory is the oren way,
Shivering are the ranks of steel dire is the horseman's wheel,
Victorious in battlefield, oren the brave.

Bold hearts and gleaming helmets wave o'er their bloody tombs,
Deepeyed in glory is the oren way,
Shivering are the ranks of steel dire is the horseman's wheel,
Victorious in battlefield, oren the brave,
Victorious in battlefield, oren the brave.

~William wood, battle-brother of oren and savoyard.

This was written after a battle by William wood, it was made to glorify and promote Oren.
