INTERVIEW WITH BAILIFF

+ An interview with Peter Bedevere, Bailiff of Ponce +

                                     

 

VANZETTI: Thank you for attending, Mr. Bedevere.
BEDEVERE: It is my pleasure!
VANZETTI: Ponce has recently grown in activity and size. How has that impacted your role as bailiff?
BEDEVERE: Well, with more folks and more travellers comes more crime. I've had to regulate some disputes and make sure all are secure.
VANZETTI: I see. What is the thing you most fear as Bailiff?
BEDEVERE: Hm. Lady Anne's rage.
*Vanzetti and Bedevere share a chuckle.*
Vanzetti: The name 'Bandit's Gorge' has carried itself around town. How would you deal with a plague of banditos, should they arrive?
BEDEVERE: Hm, perhaps we'd treat them to some fine dining and alcohol. If that don't work, suppose we could rally up the serfs and kill 'em.
VANZETTI: I admire your methods.
VANZETTI: Lastly, if Ponce should fall under serious threat externally, how would you defend your people?
BEDEVERE: We'd go up to the Gorge, me and the Lord've talked about this before, and we'd put up two towers. Rain hell upon those who pass up and over the mountain.
VANZETTI: A sound strategy, indeed. Thank you for your time, Mr. Bedevere.
BEDEVERE: Thanks!

EMERGING PLAYWRIGHTS

Playwrights congregate from both inside and outside Ponce at The Tenting Maid, preparing their performances in an attempt to become famous! The stage only has enough room for one winner, and competition is fierce. An emerging play, recovered from the early days of the Fifth Empire, has now made its way to Ponce! Rumor has it that it shall play soon on Ponce's own stages for the first time in history. The following is a short summary of this fabled play.

 

 - Aversatrix - 

The tale of Vibius de Sola, called Gategriefer. The audience follows the martyr, and to some monster, through the fateful day in which he overthrew the Chivay Imperium.
