A Minty Bird Appears!

Dia daoibh! Hello to you all!

 

     My name is Jon, although you may call me by a variety of nicknames. Some include, but are not limited to: Trickster, by which I was formerly known on the forums; birb, which is self explanatory; bird, which is a more formal nickname derived from the previous one; Minty, derived from my favorite color! I had an urge to play some Minecraft with my boyfriend recently, and I fondly remembered my experiences on this server. With the skill system and its cooking system, I sold various foodstuffs whilst roleplaying on the server. I believe it's been about a year since I last logged onto LoTC (is it still by that abbreviation?), and with how fast things were changing then, I wouldn't be surprised if yet more has changed since!

 

     As for my life outside of Minecraft, I'm currently a student, and am an aspiring linguist! I create languages in my spare time, am more or less fluent in Irish and Latin, fluent in two of my created languages, and I am fluent in English. I'm currently studying Vietnamese, and let me tell you: it is not easy to learn Vietnamese as a native English speaker! I sometimes draw things, and sometimes paint things. They aren't very good! I am an amateur calligrapher, and have been practicing the art for a couple months now. I like to garden, although because I live in an apartment, it certainly isn't easy to do so! Speaking of gardening, I like flowers. I like flowers a lot. I put flowers on everything. Roses are the best, but most flowers are good.

No, unfortunately, I do not! I barely have a grasp of basic Vietnamese, and I am terrible at pronunciation, to be frank.

Say, you like linguistics? I'm only 14 so I still have a lot of career options ahead of me, but I'm considering a career in linguistics. I'm damn near fluent in Latin (but not quite there). So you seem cool! Oughtta come back!

I do! I'm by no means an expert, but I can certainly introduce you to the subject!
