DECLARATIONEM DE ABDICANDO

-{A Foreword}-

It is with a heavy heart and utter disappointment when one must put pen to paper for the purpose of disowning kin, and one does not do so without careful consideration of their closest advisors and the soundest of minds. It is even harder when you know without a shadow of a doubt they are right, and as much as you wish it was not so, one must abide by the truth. I, Frederick Augustus, with a sound mind and complete functions of my faculties do decree the following;

It is decreed, on this day, the 12th of Horen's Welcome, 1612, that the woman known as Victoria Maria is hereby disowned from the House of Horen, and all Cadet branches. She is an impostor to our blood, the reasons which listed below;

  • Has an outlandish color of Hair, no Horen has ever had

  • There are none which can be reached that can account for her legitimacy

  • Blatant disregard for the House, by abandoning the Household

  • Openly learning the ways of the Mage

  • Aspiring to become a Free Mage, with no master and no laws to follow

These words do not come easy, but such reckless behaviour coupled with the fact she shares no traits of the House of Horen’s scions has led us to this dark conclusion. We wish the best for Victoria Maria, and grant her the right to bear the surname d’Pruvia, but is forever severed and stricken from the Annals of the Dragon.

IN NOMINE DEI

His Serene Highness, Ser Frederick Augustus, Prince of Pruvia, Duke of Ostland, Count of Eastwatch and Baron of Schloss Hochspitze, Shield of Mardon, Knight Commander of the Ioannian Order and Knight Paramount of the Kingdom of Mardon

His Royal Majesty, Peter Sigismund of the House of Horen, forever August, King of Mardon and the Westerlands, Duke of Blackmarch and Marna, Count of Lorath, and Cantel, Barometer of Gravelhold and Darkwood
