A Letter to House Staunton

Recommended Posts

A royal messenger of Haria makes his way to the capitol city of Aleksandria, delivering a sealed letter to anyone of political importance of house Staunton.

"As-Salaam alaikum [Peace be unto you],

this letter is meant for the eyes of House Staunton, more specifically the King of Courland and Frederick Staunton. Before I go on further, please excuse any rash words I may write within this letter. I am no diplomat, I am more of a warrior than an politician. Irregardless of my status this letter is of my concern of the whereabouts and standings of Amina Kharadeen, Sultani Emiress of Haria and daughter of the Sultan Arlen Kharadeen. It has been ages since we have had any communications with our Emiress, we do not receive letters of her well being nor any sort of family visits. We understand you are in warfare currently and know how things may be quite ... Busy. But this is quite important and urgent. We require her well being to be of the utmost importance, for the Sultan cares deeply for his children. The last time I saw Amina myself was at her wedding, which was held within your capitol. It has been many of years since then, and yet we know nothing of what may have become of our dearest Emiress. Is she well? Has she bore any children? Why does she not write or visit?

I ask that a reply be sent as soon as possible. If things begin to look harsh within the Kingdom of Courland, we would like to ask for Amina to return to Haria for her personal safety. Thank you."

Signed,

Ashruf Kaneen

Our most Dear Sultan,

I pen such a letter to you with aching heart and agony of mind. Our good Princess, Amina Staunton née Kharadeen, has indeed bore our Prince Frederick a young girl of ten and six years, whom gladly waits to make your acquaintance should you wish. Concerning your Amina, I regret wholeheartedly to inform you that she has grown increasingly ill concerning complications during the birth of her first and only child. We have employed the highest ranking doctors we could find, however her condition grow increasingly concerning. I implore you to visit her in these coming months.

Signed,

Marie Therese, Queen of Courland

Prince Regent Fakhri Kharadeen, after reading the letter by the Queen of Courland, crumbles it within the palm of his hand.

"Why did we not hear this earlier? Why did they keep this from us?"

He immediately rises from his seat and storms out of his chambers.

"My dear sister, do not  fret, your big brother is coming."

He mounts his steed and rides to Aleksandria with too many questions tormenting his mind and no answers to soothe it.
