Castro and Savinian forces battlefields of Castell, 1617

postdiv.png

Rays of pure light waved across the horizons of the fields of Castell, specks of coruscant colours lined against it. Their stoic and steely gazes browsed the adversarial side of the blessed fields they stood upon, met with the trembling gazes of men donned in purple.

Proudly the combined coalition of forces from The Duchy of Savinia, The War Nation of Krugmar, The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, The Kingdom of Norland, The Principality of Veris, and The de Castro bannermen stood together against the imminent rising of the Empire that once was and was trying to be again. The  Norlandic shield wall soaked up the rain of Orenian arrows. The Urguani axes sliced at men left and right as Verisian Golems tore through the flocks of Orenian soldiers and Elven Archers impaled the miserable remainders. The brave Savinians and de Castros defended their homeland from foreign invaders relentlessly.

The Infantry at first stood in retreat as mounted archers herded the feeble Orenian forces together, led by the notable Frerir Irongrider. The Duke himself, Abdesahmed de Savin, rode forth commanding a regiment of cavalry to slaughter the invading force. The Impenetrable Norlandic shield wall, directed by Adawulf of the Ashguard, slowly advanced, allowing for a safe pursuit by the infantry before finally breaking apart. While the noble Prince Gonzalo de Castro, who was responaible for several infantry regiments, personally slew a quintuplet of men.  From the now freshly opened tear, many valorous men came seeping, contributing to the symphony that was orchestrated by the clanging of steel blades.

In due time, the melodies of screaming Orenians dimmed down as the manifestations of Savinia’s victory and joy came to be.

The cheers of victory reverberated across the grasslands as Men, Dwarves, Orcs and Elves alike gathered around the life deprived corpses to collect the spoils of victory. Many warriors could be seen dragging slumpee bags of loot upon their shoulders, overseen by the admirable Elias de Castro and magnificent Abdes de Savin. Closer to the friendly keep, a small camp had been set up to treat the meager amount of wounded soldiers where Daedalus Taitale sat in his chair, observantly eyeing the blood drenched battlefield as Filanir Ilmoriel ran about the confines of the compound, tending to the barely scarred men.

As the sun finally set over the heads of these glorious beings, they glanced westwards with glistering eyes. Their countrymen would soon be liberated of the tainted Orenian oppressors.

It was time to cleanse the world of this presence once and for all.

Gonzalo de Castro cleans his crown from all the bloodshed along with his bloody sword. Gonzalo would walk into his tower he turns to Pearl and says" Another win for us love" He gently grabs her hand, he gives her a kiss, he looks towards her giving her a slight smile, he then drags her off to bed with him.

"I had thought the Duke de Savin had honor," sighs Nikolai. "A shame, it seems I overestimated his character."

"I think you misunderstand the situation, the Duke of Savinia is an honourable man, the emperor and the Horens are not. The duchy and coalition of forces were defenders against the attack by Orens. It was the emperor himself who misplaced his faith and sided with the faux evereuxians, and now they shall pay." Daedalus would spurt out upon hearing such a remark.

"Honorable men do not support dwarven legions entering my home in the late hours of night, come to demand my forceful vassalization while they stood idly by and supported their kin being subjugated to a foreign race. While I fought for the Empire, I have always attempted cordial relations with the de Savins- it was their lot who bloodied with us at the ordeal in the Rothswood, rebelled against the tyranny of the Courlander crown and stood for peace in this dying world.

I have, and will always have, a respect for these houses, rebels or not. But supporting dwarven interventionism to create another dwarven high realm which will collapse to inactivity is not honorable, it's treachery. We do not need a fiftieth world war which will achieve nothing but slam another nail in the coffin on this world; already manpower has dwindled on both sides and gone are the days of the massive armies of yore.

I pray to God that Duke de Savin and our new Imperial Regent see reason, and that we may save Humanity from Itself. It is time for peace, not another decade of war like every year past." King Stephen sends mind waves to Daedalus.
