Wrynn 1349 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Heists Hello everyone! A lot of the community has been asking about heists recently, specifically why they aren't running and when they'll be back up. However before we start to make any changes to the Heist system we'd like to get your opinion on it and certain aspects of Heists to see if we can make them more enjoyable for everyone! If you're perhaps new to the server and don't know what a Heist is, here is a link to the Heist Information Thread: Currently this is how heists would operate if they were in running. If you would simply be able to leave your opinion on these rules and guidelines that would be great! Perhaps you could even suggest how certain rules could be changed or altered to make the system more balanced and enjoyable. Harri 4815 Share Posted July 4, 2017 I modified the base rules set down by Wrynn initially (which were already very good) and they haven't been touched since, I'm fairly sure. They were always completely fair and well received. Bring them back, because the current War Raids are literally just Heists without any of the moderation points put in (like restricted gear and restricted amounts of stealing). _pr0fit 3084 Share Posted July 4, 2017 I don't know why the staff feels its necessary to put so much bureaucracy into every aspect of the server, the more complicated that you make the rules, the more work you are giving yourself, and as I understand it, being a GM right now is like having a second job. Get rid of heist rules all together and just combine it with raiding, then change raiding to get rid of 'lawless and lawful' raids, cause those are the stupidest f*ucking ideas on the server, just make raiding like it was in the fringe, nobody complained then about raiding being cancerous because it wasn't. Narthok 10416 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Just remove lawless raids, move the cap timer down to two days. Don't have a population cap on raids and allow raiders to sack chests if they manage to win the raid. Would make raids significantly more meaningful and much more fun while decreasing the incentive to raid rp centric factions that don't have loot. I kinda wanted to just run over them and dumb them down/simplify them a lot more, because the base system itself is pretty good I think. It would be nice if GMs global emoted a warhorn or something prior to large / war raids taking place as to allow for the targeted faction to log on / prepare.
