Slic3man 484 Share Posted October 24, 2011 We can do the thunderbluff idea but with lava and halfway across one of the bridges we can make it iron moving into the goblin district type area. Or maybe we could make it so the orcs have to jump on pilars to get from place to place which would make the city much more interesting other then sprinting. Plus all the non talented orcs who cant really jump will burn/ fall.
Ned Lud 1260 Share Posted October 26, 2011 A large rocky cliff with pillars and rope-bridges would be pretty cool for some portion of the new territory. I'd also like to see some minarets for the shaman to meditate from and call for prayer, someplace near the temple. When magic is eventually implemented, our magic-users could use them as an alternative to wizard towers. They'd add some nice height and depth to our cities and would fit with the desert theme. We could even designate one as a rookery for messenger birds.
moondoggy 27 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Orcs- I like the current idea with the mountains surrouding the main capital. Huge gates and mostly circular design with Rex Palace in center. Goblins- I like the pits under Isengard from LotR idea for goblins. Can be under the capital Shamans- I have combined two ideas to form what i think would be neat for Shamans. The huge mountain range surrounding the capital i feel could be split into trenches that would allow for both the cliff-houses and also caverns for the numerous elements and spirits that shaman follow. Nomads- I feel would live outside the capital in closer to where the savanna and forests meet and there is much game to hunt.
craotor 617 Share Posted October 30, 2011 For me nomads should be well...nomadic.Curently nomad orcs are only big orcs that are stronger then the average ones, they have the least variety from all our subraces so here is my idea for them: Nomad orcs live in nomad tents like the nomad tents we have now out side the main road but the nomads will actualy move around every couple of weeks because they hate living in the same place too much. The nomad city can be set any wheere the nomads want to,because the region either has lots of animals to hunt or because it has good resources that could be harvested for the war nation. So basicaly the nomads would be nomadic and not live in one place for ever like do now. This will give more variety for the orc race since the only sub race that isnt fleshed out is nomad orcs. Ned Lud 1260 Share Posted November 20, 2011 For the new continent, I'd like to build and maintain a shaman library for the orcs. I'd like it to remain somewhat compact and also allow for alchemy and enchantment. Here's a concept I threw together. You can see the cauldron in the center, which looks pretty cool when lit beneath. The enchantment table is to the rear and the alchemy station is on the right. Chairs and tables are scattered throughout along with a few chests for community storage. I would also like to build a basement level for additional bookshelves and meditation. Ultimately, it's up to Warlord and the elders, so let me know what y'all think.
