Because if you actualy wanted something to be a IC event you can rp it out.

You didn't explain how a raid isn't an in character event, just because you dislike pvp doesn't make it irrelevant. If i fight someone and it goes to pvp, it doesnt make it not in character, same concept with raiding. Raids, skirmishes, sieges, and pillages, all change the history of the world we inhabbit in character and all of that is pvp, so your statement is inherintly flawed.

Both of these are true points but horribly outdated. It's been months since the guild moved in, and in those months Sutica has become one of the busiest places on the server.

To be fair, the only places in Sutica I see always active is either the cerulean grove, or combat at the square. Of course like all cities it has spotchy activity all over, but those two before mentioned places are tending to be most active.

That has been the trend in the past week or so. That being said a lot of rp happens in the Tavern, and looking in the scope of multiple weeks a majority of the rp has been happening in the square. 
The grove being so active is really out of the norm, but I am not complaining. Its nice to have so much happening.

Even though you completely ignored my response, I will retort in kindness and give you three simple to digest reasons this sentance is not only ignorant but just plain wrong. Firstly, the server originated and cultivated off of mechanics being the default combat source. Ever since Aegis, PvP has either been the direct default or a heavily influencer of the server and there is only one (incredibly short) period in time where emote combat was the default, to which it caused quite an influx of reports on metagaming and powergaming, which forced the administration at the time to return to PvP default. Secondly, you are claiming that PvP is always to be taken seriously, however it is on par with roleplay in which you are able to do such an activity with a calm outlook and a very 'chill' outlook, where you can have 'non-serious' roleplay, you can also have 'non-serious' PvP. Finally, you are clearly trying to say that people who take PvP seriously "shouldn't be here", and honestly my retort to that is simple, they have every right as you to be on the server, get off your high horse.

Pvp is for goons that refuse to rp as they should because 'b-b-but metagaming', rp combat is as **** as you make it. And I'l stand by that till the day I die.
