Mullraugh's Immersive Modpack!

Quite a few people have asked me what mods I use, so here's a video showing off what Minecraft looks and sounds like for me, as well as a list of download links so you can install the mods yourself.

To support the mod creators, I'm not going to leave a download for an easy-intsall pack, but I'll instead leave individual links to the mod pages themselves so that their creators can benefit from your downloads (and also 'cause I don't wanna get permission from each creator to use their mod in a traditional modpack)

Each of these mods requires FORGE.

Here's the video:

Here's the download links in order of when you should install them. (Make sure to launch minecraft after installing forge, then after installing optifine. It's also good practice to do this with every mod to give it a chance to load up, and to see if minecraft crashes due to incompatibility. All these mods work together for me, so it shouldn't crash in theory.)

It's important that you have some sort of antivirus or antimalware protection when downloading mods. Just don't be stupid.

Crucial Mods (The ones that truly make the immersion great)

Forge: https://files.minecraftforge.net/

Optifine: http://optifine.net/downloads (It's important that you don't INSTALL optifine, but instead drag and drop it in the MODS folder that's created when you boot up Forge for the first time)

Ambient Sounds: http://www.9minecraft.net/ambient-sounds-mod/ (Scroll down and download the version for 1.12.2 - It's a direct download and won't open any new tabs)

Dynamic Surroundings: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/dynamic-surroundings/files (Download the latest version for 1.12.2 - the top one.)

Better Foliage: http://www.9minecraft.net/better-foliage-mod/ (Same as Ambient Sounds, scroll down and download the 1.12.2 version)

More Player Models: http://www.9minecraft.net/more-player-models-mod/ (Same deal as above)

Mods That Are Needed for Other Mods to Work (I forget which ones though)

iChunUtil: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/ichunutil/files/2499562 (There's a green download button on the right of the page just under the search bar to download this one)

LunatriusCore: http://www.9minecraft.net/lunatriuscore/ (Same deal as all the other 9minecraft links. Scroll down and download 1.12.2 version)

 CreativeCore (For ItemPhysics): http://www.9minecraft.net/creativecore/

Extra Mods (These aren't NEEDED, but they make the game amazing)

Item Physics Litehttp://www.9minecraft.net/itemphysic-mod/ (It's important you download the LITE version of this mod, otherwise it won't work on the server)

Back Tools: http://www.9minecraft.net/back-tools-mod/ (scroll down and download 1.12.2)

Mob Dismemberment: http://www.9minecraft.net/mob-dismemberment-mod/ (scroll down and download 1.12.2)

Xaeros' Minimap: http://www.9minecraft.net/xaeros-minimap-mod/ (scroll down and download 1.12.2)

RPG HUD: http://www.9minecraft.net/rpg-hud-mod/ (I've got my HUD set to the "Modern" style. You can access the settings for this mod by pressing escape > mods > RPG HUD > configure

Shaders

Not sure how this will work on most other people's computers, but I get around 40 FPS with this one on 64 Ludicrous render distance.

BSL Standard v6.2: http://bitslablab.wixsite.com/main/bsl-shaders (Scroll down until you see a little image that says "Download Latest - Best Quality")

This one is supposedly better for lower-end computers. I like the daytime and the water, but night time effects are lacking. There's also a few bugs with speckles on the screen and your hand is translucent.

Wisdom Shaders: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/2845686-wisdom-shaders-ultra-graphics-with-high

I also use Faithful 32x resource pack because there's no bigger sin than building something epic with a texture pack on. This pack has all the charm of default, but without the ugly pixelation of 16x16 textures.

Faithful 32x: https://minecraft-resourcepacks.com/faithful-32x32/

I have slightly edited the pack, for example the feather and the sword.

Also here's the Skyrim Soundpack for epic mob and bow noises: https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/soundpack-skyrim-175/

Here's a video  by someone else on how to make HD skins for MorePlayerModels. She'll teach you the basics of resizing and exporting and all that, as well as editing the skin. This works with GIMP as well, not just Photoshop. If you're using GIMP, though, make sure to set the "Interpolation" to NONE (It defaults at Cubic) in the resize tool options so that it doesn't blur your skin when you size it up to 1024x1024. Most people use this HD skin feature for stupid anime eyes, so expect to see that in this video.

ive tried using a "recommended" version of forge and it always just shits itself, even just with optifine installed, so ive had to stay vanilla. just hoping it works this time

I'd try downloading the latest one instead of the recommended. I've never used the recommended version before tbh.

I've installed all the mods perfectly, but, I have some really obnoxious yellow bar at the bottom of my screen. How do you get rid of that?

That's probably from the RPG HUD mod. Do esc > mods > RPG HUD > configure, then get rid of things like the EXP bar or anything that you think it might be. I had to disable a lot of crap for the RPG HUD to look good.

which mod allows you to alt look?

More Player Models. If you go into F5 so you're staring at your back, you can hold left alt to move your camera around and zoom in/out
