Tsuyose 3285 Share Posted March 1, 2018 ____________________________ “Are you ready to die?” Antonius Horen prior to his victory at the raid of the Slaughterhouse, 13th of Snow’s Maiden, 1653 Arrows blotted the sun, casting a tenebrous shadow upon the fields of bloodied soil, and the deathly bells tolled for every side dwindled. The Renatus-Marnan horde remained strong, an iron will to their iron hearts, for they fought for a purpose, and a strong purpose it was. With every charge from the Hansetic-Curon charge, they were battered down, for everyone of ours, we took threescore their own. The craven Hansetic-Curon soldiers would never dare encroach upon the horde, fleeing back into their pathetic city, but to the lack of their knowledge, they sat like pigs in a slaughterhouse. The butchers were coming, the drums of war were beating, and blades slung from their sheathes, each meeting was embraced by the clashing of shields and weapons alike, blood littered the once pristine earth of Curon’s sovereign soil. Like a cleaver, limbs were torn from torsos, heads rolled, and their rotting carcases were served as a silver platter to the damned murder of crows that flew overhead. But alas, in the midst of war, silence befell the fields of battle, those bloody Hansetic-Curon soldiers would mock the horde, laughing at their apparent retreat, despite their own dishonourable withdrawal; God would be ashamed of their cowardice. “Bahaha!” Harked a Curon soldier. “Flee, you damn dogs!” Bellowed a Hansetic soldier. “Die, you ******* pig.” Gestured Baron Kastrovat as he skewered the Hansetic soldier atop his blade. Ravaged, bloodied, torn; confined to the confines of a tavern, had the Renatian soldiers poured into the city with sheer force and terror, all nuns, priests, and civilians alike were let be, but alas, there would be little mercy for those who had transgressed against the aggressive force. Those filthy Hansetic-Curon soldiers squealed like the craven, horrified, ****-ridden pigs they were. The butchers had come, woe to they, for they would reap what they had sown; the slaughter of every single man, for the day of mercy was no longer. With Antonius’s forces clashing through the front, Constantine, the Crown Prince, had pressed onward a band beside his cousin, encroaching the enemy forces from behind. With one blow against the doorframe, the squadron of four pressed forth and began to engage the pathetic force whose sobs shamed the very Maker to his ethereal core. Their swabs of flesh splattered the damned gatehouse, and alas, like butchers to pigs, whose day had come, they were brought to the blade and duly slaughtered. ____________________________ “History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it.” Heir Apparent, Constantine Horen, Crown Prince of Renatus-Marna to Catherine Horen-Marna, 14th of Snow’s Maiden, 1653

SerFinnick 445 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Theodore Edward hears of the victory from within the halls of the palace. Shortly afterward he decends into the city toward the barracks, where he congratulates the men returning from a well fought battle.

wolfdwg 2677 Share Posted March 1, 2018 A greenhorn soldier would look about the maimed and dying, shortly vomiting at the sight, "I didn't know bodies smelt like that..." he'd take what findings he could and leave promptly.

MunaZaldrizoti 8037 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Elizabeth Kovachev raises a brow as her husband tells her of the false victory. "Perhaps they just needed a little morale booster?" She'd shrug, confused. She'd continue tending to her husband wounds, attained from a victorious battle.
