A New Chieftess

Recommended Posts

The Old Priest stood before the burning pit in the center of the government building at the Warhawkian Chiefdom, silently staring among those present. They were left in a situation with a Chief who did things on his own without the will of any of his nation. A meeting had been called to deal with the problem.

Each of the ten Clans voted. A unanimous decision; Lockezi Voidyre was to be removed from Chieftan. Thalrian closes his eyes and takes a deep breath in as the question was posed from Erolas; Who was to be the new Chief? He stepped down from the stage as two others came up to join Arabella, leaving a trio of choices for each Clan head to pick from. Outside the building they all sat, the sounds of fighting Dominion soldiers unable to enter and put a stop to this rang out. This went ignored by those within; a problem to be dealt with after. Silence fell over the crowd for some long moments before the voting began. There was little formality; each clan head tossing out their vote for one of the three aloud among the crowd. Thalrian called out first, his deep voice resonating around the room and breaking the silence that had overcome it;

"It is a leap of faith for me, but Arabella has the Lennox Clan's vote."

Another vote. Then another. Within minutes there was yet another unanimous decision; A Chieftess was to take the place left by Lockezi's forced removal. Thalrian smiles, murmuring quietly to himself;

"Arabella will take the falling torch and raise it high."

Tldr; Warhawke Chiefdom now has TheCheshireNeko as our chieftess. Give me rep for making this post.

Arabella grins, her short curly locks a bit frizzy as an abundance of papers would be scooped up into her arms.

"Lets get this **** started!"

A young Warhawke sighs in relief as word arrives to her amongst her journey.
"Finally... That man was keeping beings that would aggressively harm our people... About time he was removed."

A peticularily black skinnd Dominion officer who had taken part in the ordeal of fighting outside the council building sighed to himself upon hearing of the news, "Hm, figures, I heard partially heard the voting during the skirmish. Though I can't say I blame them. It was an interesting ordeal, at the least." He murmured to himself, shedding his armour so that he could clean and repair it after the battle. Underneath, he wore his Warhawkian uniform, which provided a nice layer of coverage and shock distribution. Sighing, he set to work.

Elvira would chuckle softly, closing her eye with a peaceful expression.

"At last, the Warhawkes can finally become the nation they were meant to be - neutral, willing to aid all, and not relying on another nation. Lockezi relied to heavily on those outside of the Warhawkes, willing to defy the wishes of his own council and people in favour of keeping good terms with another nation.  Thus such was his downfall - his people lost faith in him as he continued down this path and removed him from his place. A leader should depend on those they lead and show to the people they can trust their leader, not a person who devoted himself to another nation and casts aside the concerns of his people."

She opens her eye and adjusts her coat, glancing up at the night sky. "Perhaps I should visit the Warhawkes and give my blessing to the new Chieftess."

"To think that the Dominion couldn't stop the petty Dark Elves from breaking free. Curious." A High Elf mumbled, stumbling across the news in the Elf's abode close to the Silver City.

An oddly white figure flexes his voidal mage muscles in the mirror "Oh yeah- new chief- oh yeah- new chieftess "He stopped, thinking for a moment "Ill stop by and give my respects of course."

A small gobo bonks his head onto the mother groves gates, still waiting

“To be ruled by a fool is a disgrace, but by a coward? His people cry out in unison at his countless failures and he incites the Dominion dogs to protect his poor, fragile self and the pedestal which he sat upon. The Warhawke people are strong and courageous for casting out this disgraceful ruler.” Comments a resting Sage, sitting comfortable on hallowed ground.

"I actually liked Locke a fair bit, though I'd assume electing a new chief was an alright decision," Nin commented toward his Ascended Kin, most of which seeming fairly happy that the previous chieftan lost his position.

"T'e foicks a 'Warhawke'?!" shouts a very confused dwarf.

"Good on them," comments a tall robed figure, itching at his eyepatch.

The druid would flash a crooked toothed smile. Clapping his hands together "Thus I do dearly hope affairs will become more stable for our Warhawke brethren...I wish it not damper relations too much." He remarks with a tilt of the head.

Keir Elwing would sit in his home at the Mother Grove, a rather large smile over his face. "I'm glad that piss poor excuse for a chief is finally gone. Hopefully now they can begin to have proper leadership." He would nod and sit back, beginning to ponder over the events at the Warhawkes. "Little sad though. . . I was hoping that I would be able to see more bloodshed at the meeting when that pitiful Lockezi brought his 'forces' late to his own nation's meeting. The only bloodshed I saw was when I fell over and scraped my knee."

"Interesting you say that," Kairn says to somebody in his company who mentions much of the same thing. "When people join us it is of their own volition. There is no sense ruling over a people who does not seek to engage in jolly cooperation. Some nations are too preoccupied with vast expansion and accumulation of territory and ignore the necessity of contentment with the people."

“Good riddance.” A Volaren would feel relief after receiving word of the removal of the Chieftain.
