GM Update Log - April 2018

Hello! With Ioannis stepping into the position of administrator I will be taking over leadership of the GM team. My main focus these first couple of months will be to strengthen the core principles of our moderation policies and procedures to make it more fair across the board. I look forward to revamping the team and have already begun with what is listed under new changes! I would love to hear your opinions or concerns about the team. Send me a forum pm or a discord message (Discord info is listed on my profile) if you have any questions or concerns and I will be more than happy to talk with you and answer your questions!

There has been a handful of recent issues regarding policies and procedures in how moderators handle more complex situations. We are in the process of outlining these to ensure that there is a set standard of consistency with how we interact with players from moderator to moderator. This includes player management guidelines in communication and how we hand out punishments in the future. (That last part is down the line and coming soon!)

 

We have made some small changes to our documentation to better pull up moderation history of players. In addition, we’ve brought back a standardized ban protocol for repeat offenders and players that often break rules in the same category. Our central guideline moving forward will be for punishments to serve as a detergent for future poor behavior. We are looking into ways to improve the way we handle rule breakers and make ban lengths consistent across the board. This will be something that will only affect future bans down the road.

• The GM team received a total of 3063 modreqs in April.
• Congratulations and thank you to: Corvoo, Tarrebear and Corpean for handling the most tickets!

 

The monthly quota for the GM-Team is 3%, for this month that meant an individual GM had to complete a total of 92 tickets. Below you can view the general statistics for all members of the team. Keep in mind some trials were accepted to the team, late in the month, the high Non-GM count is mostly due to Knox213 and Ioannis being promoted to Admin.
