The Glorious Blaze: First light

“Thoromir.” A dryad inquired. Her face was devoid of emotion, she could have been staring through the men rather than at him, her deep blue eyes were wide and her expression was neutral, she appeared alien in that way. Her skin was covered in a dark thick bark that closely resembled her tree, the Ashwood, and her hair was made of autumn foliage.
“Mm?” Mused Thoromir, the traditional norlandic man replied, black of hair and blue of eyes. He was dressed in his lordly attire, a modest red tunic to represent his people.
The dryad shifted in her step, pointing to the brazier’s that surrounded the Ashwood tree. “It is spring.” She stated quite bluntly, and with this, the Earl’s eyes widened in realization, scrambling to the fires. “Do not worry,” the dryad spoke out once more, “it is about that time of year anyways. The tree should burn.” And it did.
During the morn of the next day, a single ember was born of the flames in the brazier, and it traveled to the tree, within the blink of an eye, the tree erupted into an overwhelming blaze, it radiated blistering heat and through it all, the village was calm, it was used to this. For now was a time of celebration and renewal.

Svarr Grimlee would place his hands at the side, his eyes alit at the sight of the burning magnificence.  "Ullric told me the stories.. nothing quite compares to this however.." he would state blankly to the gathering, in deep contemplation.
