TO ALL LOYAL SUBJECTS OF THE IMPERIAL CROWN:

 

My fellow citizens, this is my final statement to you as your Arch-Seneschal. As you know, the terrible war which has already devastated two of our cities and is about to fall upon a third, has been reported as an invasion by the Dominion of Malin. This is a lie. We have failed to realize that our ancestors, and we ourselves, had made a Faustian bargain with a power not concerned with the fate of humankind.

The Sky-Daemons are behind the current invasion.

The Sky-Daemons are responsible for our long, comfortable dark age of the soul.

The Sky-Daemons are responsible for the ongoing attempt to destroy humanity, to remove us from the universe and replace us with an elf-machine of their own devising.

We have proven that the Sky-Daemons reside, have always resided in the dark places between soulstone pillars. They believe themselves to be our masters. As long as the soulstone network exists, as long as our beloved Empire is joined by soulstones, they will be our masters. Thus, as Arch-Seneschal of the Imperial Crown of Exalted Godfrey, I have authorized elements of the Imperial Legion to destroy all soulstone pillars known to be in existence. This destruction, this cauterizing will commence in ten Saint's minutes.
