The Avchirran ito Gladewynn, or the Chirran, is a newly formed order to safeguard the realm of Gladewynn from outsiders. The occasional orc foraging party would never return from the woods, and on being discovered their bodies would be in an abysmal display of carnage. This is the work of the hunt. The appearance of the chirran is quite intimidating. They wear a suit of plates dyed red with acrylic paint. Their officers can be recognized by a set of antlers on their helm. Each varying in different designs and sizes. Their arsenals of war are well kept, and of very good quality of the material. As a mercenary arm of the Enclave, each warrior has their own set of tools, but typically each rider carries a reflex bow and a quiver of arrows. For hand to hand combat the weapons range from swords to axes to spears and glaives. Some prefer their shields and take up a more suitable stance of a shield wall, whilst others prefer to use a spear to poke a prod over the shieldman’s wall. Whilst the flanks are protected by those who prefer to swing with two-handed weapons, swaying any away from heading into a meat-grinder. As the army for the Enclave, it is they who represent the people of Gladewyn and their ideas and morals. Honor is a strict code within the ranks of the riders and is valued highly in the Enclave’s society. In face of those who surrender their arms, no harm will come to them, and they will be turned over to their contractors, whilst in the face of defeat to run is to be a coward. Fight and die well is the creed all chirran follow. The chirran are willing to sell themselves them out to clients who are willing to use their, violent ways, for their own nefarious purposes. Similarly akin to mercenary work, the Chirran will gladly take coin for blood. Conscripts scouting the Wonkwoods RANKS WARDEN (The commander of the entirety of Avchirran) HERALD (The officers who manage various tasks within the Avchirran) WAYSTALKER (The elite vanguard of the Avchirran) GLADE GUARD (The basic infantry of the Avchirran) CONSCRIPT (Inducted citizens of Gladewynn) MEDALS AND BADGES Bronze Shield - This is awarded to those who have saved a comrade in the field of battle, and protected them from harm. Spearhead - This is awarded to those who have performed exceptionally well in battle. Slaying more than five enemies in one singular fight. Fang of a Wolf - This is awarded to those who have matured from conscript to glade guard, signifying their maturity within the ranks. Antler Helm - This is awarded to those who have performed acts of leadership in the face of adversity and trial. They are the sergeants and officers of the Riders. Helm of the Avchirran PAYMENT It is within the Avchirran that each member is to be outfitted a substantial amount of pay. The base pay of each member is a sum of one-hundred mina per elvish week. This does not appear much at first, but there is bonus pay when the Enclave enters a contract with a nation or group to aid in their war. Each member that shows up for each encounter with the contractor's enemies, they shall receive an equal cut of the payment for the contractor. Waystalkers ambushing a patrol of Dwarves.
