A Formal Declaration of Feud

To the sons of Edvard, every last one scattered throughout the realm

    I have heard from sympathetic voices within the rebellious territories that the foul Archbishop known as ‘Zachery’ has been organizing and enjoying festivities at the expense of my late nephew Alvar I. This is unacceptable and goes far beyond the confines of a war between humans. His conduct is dishonourable, cowardly, sinful. To deride an honourable man after his expiration is the conduct of a brigand not a man charged with shepherding the souls and morality of thousands. Thus on behalf of the Edvardssons I do issue the following declaration of Feud.

 

From this day on behalf of all sons of Edvard, I do declare blood feud with one Archbishop Zachery. This stain upon our kin cannot be tolerated and must be paid for in full. Until the debt of this man is paid or the expiration of lineage, we shall pursue this feud. Let no son of Edvard rest until this fellow is found dead.

    This missive is to be circulated publically. Thus you will no doubt see it at some point. Therefore I do challenge you to a duel of honour.
