The moonlit landscape irradiated out amongst otherwise dull scenery, a mere forest - barren of life or movement for the longest time. Nothing filling the void of it but the casual howl of a lone-wolf, or the brushing of leaves against the elegant furs of the silent, stalking animals that lay betwixt the forests vast borders. But, today, this is not all that the forest should succumb too; with that, an eerie red flame ignited amidst the heart of it. A few soldiers of bygone wars encircled around the wispy flame that lacked much sustenance.

The once war-heros now outcast from humanity, or their respective homes, seeking a life of solitude had become uninterested with such a life. Peaceful. The word did not suit well with men of this calibre, for in their eyes it was inaction and as such - a waste of their time. They had tried another path, less violent, yet it was not to be.

If any had paid attention to the forest, or encampment, for the preceding days there would be an evident amount of ravens flying in-and-out, more men arriving and an expansion of such a camp. All sharing similar mentalities or creed to the original men that had placed their foundations there.

Yet, despite this, they lay in wait. They were not ready to do anything other than wait - for their calling was quiet, discreet but it would be pointless if the one they sought out did not arrive. But if he did, a ‘new’ assortment of soldiers shall enter the realms political scene once more with their blades ready at their side; sharpened they were.

[!] An intercepted bird would carry a note with few plainly scribed words:

For those who it concerns, the flames build bright in the forests of humanity - a resurrection as expected for those who don our uniform.

-Ser Karl Jrent ‘the Grand Magus

Godwyn Wold let out a small sigh as he read the letter that had reached his door the morning prior, before looking over his shoulder at his cottage a final time, setting off down the road with nothing more than his sword and a rucksack.

Eleanor somehow finds one of the simply scribed letters in her hands, scanning it over quickly. Soon after, she reaches forward to tuck it between the reflective surface and wooden framing of her mirror, just under a sketchy bust of her brother Owyn, which she gazes upon both fondly and with pride.
