Altar und Thron

Duma Short Edition

4rd Edition, 1745

The greatest Hanseti publication enlightening our godly Patriots and contemporaries, wherever they might be. In every edition of ‘Altar und Thron’, we shed a divine light on the affairs of the Empire and the lifestyle of the pious man. Im Names Gottes.

THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN:

MARKUS KORTREVICH, RESIGN!

The Duma had achieved a major victory today after Siguine Ruthern’s motion of no confidence against Lord-Palatine Markus Kotrevich had passed with an overwhelming vote, declaring the lack of trust in the Lord-Palatine’s competency overall.

“F*cking finally” a man would state, preparing the confetti “This lad held back bills, didn’t do anything, barely was present and disenfranchised entire communities in Hanseti-Ruska. Then he was also totally humiliated in the Adrian duma. Seriously like, f*cking finally guys.” Altar und Thron tried to interview more citizens, but they were all dancing frantically in the town square of Reza. Our correspondents were however able to interview a dying man, who broke his back in the unfinished canal that the Lord-Palatine apparently forgot about “H-help me!” he would exclaim, before bleeding to death. Siguine Ruthern, the person that initiated the motion, stated: “I feel that it will be the start of great change in Haense. It shows the growing disconnect between the leaders such as the Palatine and the people he claims to represent. From this point on they now know they do not have the support of the people, and we are looking for action and not honeyed words.” he continued “I believe the Lord Palatine now knows he doesn't rule with the people's will in mind. He should look to correct this instead of serving his elitist allies.”

Furthermore, Altar und Throne witnessed Prince Otto Sigmar stating that he considered the Duma petty, stating “These petty lords” in his argument against the motion of no confidence.. This only shows the disdain the elites have for the lesser nobles and common folks. For the Lord of the Opposition, Henrik Vanir, this motion couldn’t have come earlier: “It is the Lord-Palatine’s ultimate decision whether he resigns or not. The man controls his own fate. My stance is that he best improve upon his recent egregious display as Palatine or he will continue to anger his friends in the Duma. That is all I have to say”.

Though the statement made by the duma today was loud and clear: Markus Kortrevich, Resign! Whether this will actually happen remains the question. For if the supporters of this motion are correct: the clique of elitists will protect one of their own. It can be safely assumed that the people hope that they can be proven wrong after today.

“My words exactly. The Lord Palatine best get his act together- that being said, I ask my friends on the Fuedalist Bench to keep a cool head in these trying times, and stay unified. We must not forget to look after ourselves as well as the Palatine,” Henrik Vanir, the leader of the opposition, states.

Erich Stafyr would slump down in a chair upon his arrival home, head still throbbing from all the bickering. “At least the crown shall know of the discontent the people feel for their Palatine. Perhaps now they shall be more careful in the future when disregarding our rights.”

“That was some of the most chaotic governance I’ve ever seen. My motherland is Ves, and even during the times of the Adrian Dumas of that Golden City, they were nowhere near as confusing and muddling as what occurred today.” commented Amadeus to a reporter.

It was hard to understand what was happening at some moments with the amount of people talking at once. Still don’t understand why it had to be brought up in Duma instead of setting up a meeting with the King to speak of your opinion. When I was a child sitting by my papaj in duma it was no where near as chaotic as it was today. Honestly, I think that this duma was the most chaotic than any duma in history of Haense or in general. Also, this vote was seven to five.
