King Peter III of Helena,

I write to you on behalf of the Elven Tripartite and her member states to address your most recent proposal. Quite shocked were we to receive an Orenian envoy, thinking back to the results of the most recent visits of the valah from your kingdom. Though I can assure you that your most recent envoy departed the Forest Realm of Irrinor whole and in good health.

Lost for words were many ‘Ame who gathered to bear witness to the contents of your letter, rumours spreading quickly through the forest of an Orenian envoy and a sealed letter.

Silent were they as they listened intently to the petitioning of the Orenian Kingdoms to our most blessed realm, my voice falling upon their ears as each word spilled forth, having broken the seal that held your letter shut. Solemn were many of their expressions as their minds called back to the events of recent years, to the last time the Forest Realm of Irrinor and Oren had met to discuss peace between our peoples. The words spoken by yourself weighing heavily in the mind of each and every one of us.

Soon after a meeting of the member states of the Tripartite was called to give thought to your proposal of peace. The sovereigns of the Mali’ker, Mali’thill, and Mali’ame gathered in the halls of the Irrinite Forests to debate the merits of your proposal.

Quick was a decision made; your call for peace was met with swift and unanimous rejection from the Tripartite.

The Elves of the Tripartite hold no interest in forming a defensive pact with snakes that lay low in the grass, nor do we care to sacrifice the lives of our kin for the furtherment and betterment of mankind. To step forth to protect a people who cannot protect themselves is not in the best interest of the Tripartite. We shall not take up arms alongside those who wish to see our culture wiped from the history books, and to have our leaderships replaced with petty lords.

This pact you have offered serves only to benefit mankind who will use the assurance of elvenkinds protection to press their influence upon the rest of the realm, as they attempted to do so within the elven domain oh so recently.

We will not break the bonds that we have formed so that you may isolate us and our allied states so that you may put us under your boot.

Signed,

High Prince

Lyemar Aureon

His Excellency, The Archon

Areon Velulaei’onn

“******* Godfrey worshippers, how dare they have a human transcend to Godhood before we, the perfect beings, could.” Comments P’hil Collins, historic Sohaer-sympathizing battle-bard. “We will reclaim the White Gold tower from the hands of those dreaded imperials and undo the world if it’s the last thing we do. Now I have to check on that adventure and see if he got that staff for me...”

"Crushed alone or together with their Norlandic masters makes no difference to the Imperial Legions. Securing your bonds with an Alliance that actively bandits your roads and disregards the lives of their own. This Tripartite's meddling in human affairs was the worst act they could concoct in this vain attempt to exert influence. History has never been kind to Elves when they disrupt the chaotic mess of Imperial Politics." grumbles Amadeus within the Royal Palace of Haense upon being handed a copy of the Elven Response from a fellow council member.

“Hypocrites, asking Elves to meddle in Human affairs on their side but as soon as they stick with their allies you claim it is an attempt to exert influence. You say you will crush the Norlanders but you cannot protect your own citizens from bandits on the road, we will not align ourselves with manipulating Imperial snakes or the Dogs of Reza- do not forget this war started by Imperials killing their own allies.”

Erasto chuckled slightly at the irony of it all, pointing at the addressed name of ‘King Peter’ “They referred to him as a King and not a Emperor, I believe that to be slight disrespect.” He said, making an inference before even reading the address – and when it took a turning point he said “Aei! There it is, the climax .”

“Godric may call himself a Fatherist, but that he allies himself with elves of their supposed evil Long Dark, who wield magic, shows how little he actually believes in his faith, except for when it fits him. What happens when this war ends and his sight turns to your magic and ways that are considered evil by him and his religion?” Edyth would murmur, worried. ”Beyond that, elves have been unharmed in Helena and Haense, I have met many in my travels between the two cities. Yet, from captives of the Lorraine hold I have heard first hand accounts of a young high elf being slain. Great allies you have there, killing elves of their allied nations, especially the children of allied leaders, considering the low birth rate of your people, though the offense was apologized for by way of weregild.” She would sound almost angry, the elf having been a dear friend of hers, the offense taken personal to her.

“It matters not to me Godric’s or Peter’s, it will bring me great joy to see the boot come down on your people. You have forgotten history, thus history will forget you.”

“ok canonist” Godric one of the prime authorities on fatherism would say to the random canonist “you don’t get to tell me what fatherism is when you quite literally **** a canonist man and participate in the war against our people. Don’t care, didn’t ask, plus you’re an apostate”

”News of conversion travels fast on the shiny scalps of bald headed men, I see. How bold of you to assume the nature of a relationship you know nothing of. Your men have called me *****, fornicator, other similar terms. Yet I am chaste, my relationship pure. Thora and Lucian began courting before he converted to the Faith. Where was the outrage when the daughter of the last two High Keepers chose a Canonist man? You denounce me for choosing a Highlander man to love, yet accept her choosing a Heartlander without question. Where in the Red Scrolls does it say I cannae love or marry a Canonist? Rurikid of old had done the same, yet mine was a crime. Forced conversion, coerced conversion, is that not a sin against the Father you hold so dear? If so, what of Eleanor, who was forced to convert, branded like you might brand cattle, all so she could wed someone she loved? Then again, perhaps you will claim to not care, as you did not care, as shown when you claimed she fell from the window.”

Edyth hesitates, thinking about her next couple of sentences with caution. “She is alive and well, by the way. She has found a joy, a spark to life as I did when I entered Haense on that fateful day. Edlyn is an older sister, and Eleanor a new wife with a young toddler. She has converted back to the faith that was stripped from her by way of Gareth’s branding and your political marriage. She is finally with a man who she loves, leading the people she was always destined to be a part of. May you find someone, some day, who will appreciate you in a way you never appreciated her.”

Taking a seat, Edyth would briefly press her hands against her face, the weight of her life bearing down upon her frame. ”I vowed to not raise sword against Fatherists when we spoke at my first return. I have upheld my vow, I wield no weapon for I am crippled, and I would uphold that vow were I not. You can claim me an apostate, but High Keeper Solvi and yourself forced that hand, condemning me, citing me worse than Jevan, the atheist Ruric. You can hate me for loving a man you do not approve of, you can hate me for converting to Canonism, you can hate me for so many other excuses you will cite. And I will accept them, for I was raised in the Faith as you were, I know what sins against the Faith I have committed and what I have not committed. I have chosen forgiveness and mercy over hatred and intolerance. You have tried to force my hand again and again, you have tried to break my spirit and force me into your archaic beliefs and desire for revenge. You have hunted those I love purely for being those I love. You have become a burden on my soul, a guilt upon my conscious.” She pauses, sighing. ”And I will pray for you all the same, for I may not be a Ruric, I may be what you hate, but I cannot find it within myself to ever hate you, no matter what crimes you commit against my person.

Young Franz Nikolai watches Edyth rant in the corner of her office as she goes on for hours about Godric, Fatherism, and Morsgrad.

“Uh, miss, can you please get to writing that contract now?” he continuously asks her, only to be drowned out by the woman’s impassioned venting each time.
