SUBPOENA TO THE COMMONWEALTH OF KAEDRIN

4th of the Sun's Smile, 1764

 dHpVia21wEZtaCjk9EhDLKGKHXoiC676qQ8Ch79mJLHMxcolQCWs4Fmu0-FrLx4tsBZL98HmsN0o6DFkmdPKAtjzXlXoSqCyMalv0-hT-AwoT7QYmgqs7NYhtyxzODM6UA

THE PLAINTIFF,  Boniface of Ves,

@ReveredOwl

DESIRES TO SUMMON THE FOLLOWING PARTY TO COURT:

The Commonwealth of Kaedrin, represented by the Solicitor-General.

ON THE BASIS OF THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLE(S), DOCTRINE(S), EDICT(S) OR ARTICLES OF LAW:

704.04 - The right to evangelize with the populace of the Imperial State and with any populace abroad, to travel to the Imperial State as seen fit, and to be welcomed into any estate under the protection of the Imperial State.

DETAILS

I awoke today after a day of performing charity across the realm, distributing alms, to find that I have been suddenly banished from the entirety of Kaedrin by the speaker of the House of Commons, Laurence August Pruvia. I have never committed nor been convicted of a crime in the Commonwealth of Kaedrin and therefore there is no justifiable reason for banishment. Furthermore the banishment goes against my rights as a member of the clergy, as established and enshrined in imperial law. I am a member of the clergy and should be able to travel unimpeded so that I may continue my mission of spreading GOD’s word and distributing alms to those in need.

ON THE DESIRED DATE OF:

4th of the Sun's Smile, 1765
(Sunday 26th 5pm EST)

An open letter would be send to Boniface (@ReveredOwl).

“To Boniface,

The Commonwealth of Kaedrin has not banished you. The people merely gave us a mandate to do so, meaning that we are allowed to by the people if we wish to. We have not yet enacted any legislation that restricts your entry, so your infringement is non-existent. Furthermore, you are not a member of the clergy. I wish to repeat: the Commonwealth of Kaedrin has not exiled you, but has been given permission by the people do so when it wants to.

Please weep when something actually happens, baffoon.

IN NOMINE DEI

Laurence August Pruvia

Speaker of the House of Commons

Cardinal Ves

“This man clearly has no head on his shoulders, the dear Bishop is the appointed speaker; he OVERSEES the assembly, he does not meddle in the affairs of the people. I can see why he was left with only that dirty barrel to live in.” The Count of Rochefort asides to his compatriot after reading the horrendously ill advised suite against their proud people.

An open letter is sent in response to to Laurence (@Draeris)

“Dear Laurence,

Whilst I admire the speedily reply to this subpoena, please try to stick to the facts. I am still an ordained member of the clergy, I gave up my positions of authority but that did not include my ordainment and to add to this I am also a friar. Your response simply states that you have been ‘given permission to banish me by the people’, this however is completely wrong as you have no right to issue such a banishment with or without their permission. Furthermore I have not met you or the man who proposed such bill and am most perplexed as to why you would wish to exile me from the Commonwealth, I after all put a lot of time and effort into the commonwealth as bishop, long before you arrived and was elevated to bishop and positions of secular authority. However I digress, this will be discussed at court.

With regards, Boniface.”

“It makes no sense, Lya!” Alexandria Barbanov said with a mild huff to one of her sisters, though couldn’t keep herself from laughing after she thought for a moment.  “A law is still broken either way, whether it be by the people or the Overseer himself because he still permitted it to happen!  He oversaw it and still chose to accept it, and then proceeded to insult Friar Boniface publicly for trying to resolve the issue!”

The case is withdrawn as the banishment was rejected by the Governor-General.

To Mister Boniface,

The Western Circuit dismisses this case because this exile never legitimately went into effect.

You have two months to appeal this decision to the Supreme Court.

Signed,

Wilhelm Wald, Judge of the Western Circuit
